At least two U.S. Senators did the right thing in voicing opposition to our new Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. Don't get me wrong I don't have a problem with all the Republicans that voted for his confirmation. After all he was chosen by the President and deserves to be approved. What I was disappointed about was how nearly all of the Republicans kissed the feet of this guy like he was the best thing to ever happen to the Bush Administration.
