Exhibit A

Here's the first paragraph:
A closer look at US military deaths in Iraq:
_Percentages by service branch: Army: 72 percent; Marines: 24 percent; Navy: 2 percent; Air Force: 1 percent (Coast Guard had one death.)
Now, at first glance, one might think that 72% of the army has died. A rational person would know better than this, of course. So I continued reading. It was not until the very last paragraph that it pointed out what the percents were:

Posted at 9:57am on Mar. 13, 2008 Supreme Court ruled against protesting at abortion clinics
By vrwcass
I'm a paralegal. I've been doing some random legal research lately, and I just happened to stumble across this article from the Supreme Court. I started reading it, and I couldn't stop myself from comparing it to the situation in Berkeley. If the Supreme's stopped people from harassing abortion clinics and impeding people from entering an abortion clinic, wouldn't they provide the same protection to a Marine recruiting station? Here's the case:

Ok, so this guy is ultra conservative, extremely patriotic, and all around awesome. Very straight to the point. He is ironcross11 from blogspot (ironcross11.blogspot.com And I just had to share this:
Hillary Clinton Rejects Racial Affirmative Action
Hillary claims to support Affirmative Action to right the wrongs of the past. But when a black man wants the same job she wants, I don't see her making a fast move to step aside and let him have it even though she says he's less qualified. She uses the same heartless, mean spirited excuses that all the opponents of affirmative action use. She says she's the most qualified applicant and the most qualified applicant should get the job. But we are told by the proponents of AA that the downtrodden never get a chance to become the most qualified applicant because they are the downtrodden. They are robbed of all opportunity because they are victims of racial discrimination.

Completely theoretical, who would you rather have as president if these were your only choices: Obama, Hillary, Ron Paul? You can also choose to move out of the country. I think I'd be able to tolerate Obama but I'd move to a small city in the middle of the country so that when war is waged against the U.S., I'll be relatively safe. If the other two become president, I'd simply move to the Philippines for 4 years.

Posted at 12:15am on Nov. 20, 2007 Who would you support?
By vrwcass
We all have our stance on who we do support (for the most part), and who we would absolutely not support. I've found that researching our current GOP candidates, I am no longer drawn to only one. They all have their different strengths and weaknesses, but we clearly can't combine them into one super candidate. With that said, who would you be willing and proud to stand by as POTUS?
Mitt Romney

Posted at 6:15pm on Nov. 6, 2007 Impeaching Cheney? Congress playing games again.
By vrwcass
So, I go to the University of Washington. The LaRouchies were out today, with their little "Impeach Cheney" signs. I get home, I turn on C-SPAN, and their is a vote to table a motion to impeach our VP. I flip over to Fox to figure out what's going on, and here's the deal:
Dennis Kucinich apparently wanted to get some attention, so he sponsored this impeachment ordeal. They started a quick, (15 minutes?) vote to table the motion, and it was going to be done and done like that...but then some Republicans decided that they want to have fun and bring the issue to a debate, because they are sure that the Democrats are going to step all over each other. So now, if it passes the table test, it will go to debate, and then be voted on again.

By vrwcass
So, President Bush was in Bellevue today (just east of Seattle.) He was doing a fund raiser for Dave Reichert (8th Congressional Dist). I figured I'd go down and show my support for the troops and the President.
Driving over, the oh so acurate radio said that most people surrounding the building in which the President was in, were protestors. They also said that 20% of the people there were supporters.

I was sitting in my American Foreign Policy class today at the University of Washington, and we were having a little chat about the in Iraq, and comparing it to Vietnam. Someone complained that we have too many casualties, and that casualties now aren't as accepted because we have 'better technology.' Well, doing a little research here, let's look at the casualties.
In Iraq and Afghanistan combined, we currently have 165,000 troops serving there right now. Of that, 3380 have died. Of those that have died, 707 were not battle related. Sure, 3400 of America's finest are dead. That's horrible, and by no means are these soldiers just numbers. But for once, oh dear mainstream media, instead of labeling just the 'dead bodies that pile up', let's remember our living. Out of 165,000 currently serving there, 2% have been killed. And that doesn't even include those who have served and come home. Over 1.3 Million soldiers have taken part in either Iraq of Afghanistan, and 3400 are dead. That's .2%

Rage Against the Machine has apparently reunited. Listen to them rant about the President, and listen to the crowd cheer as they say that the current administration needs to be "tried, hung, and shot."
