Posted at 8:50pm on Jun. 29, 2008 Did The New York Times Do It Again?!!

By Wubbies World

Right now over at the Drudge Report, there is this flash in the top of the right hand column (in red):

SOURCES: BUSH ANGER AT COMING NEW YORK TIMES STORY DETAILING HUNT FOR BIN LADEN... The newspaper is planning to expose a 'highly classified Pentagon order' authorizing Special Operations forces to hunt al-Qaida leader in mountains of Pakistan... DEVELOPING....

Did they do it? and will the story be on the front page?

Posted at 12:16am on Jun. 18, 2008 This Past Week - I Started Anew

By Wubbies World

I know this post won't have any particular interest to the readers here. This is about life changes and how I just had one. I have been absent at posting lately. I am not sure if anyone even noticed, but that is okay.

As some know, I have been working some long hours and coming home to do school work for the better part of two years. My blogging went to pieces during this time since I have not had much time to devote to it, at least as I would expect from myself. I prefer quality over quantity and I have not been doing quality, so I have tapered off.

Posted at 9:47am on Jun. 1, 2008 A Republican Path to a Majority

By Wubbies World

This is going to be a brief post. It started out as a comment to the post titled, "We the People ride horses or Cain’t never could do nuthin’". I took a part of my comment to add it as a post. I want to keep this in my blog and I want to see what others think too. So, here goes....

I said in my comment that .....

The simple fact of the matter is that the backlash against the environmentalists is just starting to build under the surface, just like a tsunami is only a ripple on the surface of the ocean until it reaches the shallows. I still live in small town American. I am starting a new job in the state capital on June 9th. However, our state capital has a total population of - get this- 15,000 people! I live in fly over country. You should hear the talk in the coffee shops about the gas prices, and more specifically, the diesel prices for farm equipment. The anger is building, and what you see in the press as voter discontent is barely scratching the surface on this issue.

Posted at 10:10am on May 29, 2008 Congress' Defunding of the War

By Wubbies World

It seems the Democrats desire to get us out of Iraq has not gone away, and they are still using the only method at their disposal - funding. They have not passed a war supplemental, and the Army is running out of money.

Now the Army has asked Congress permission to transfer 9.7 Billion dollars from other accounts, and from other services into their accounts to run the war. They will taking the money from personnel and maintenance accounts.

Posted at 9:37am on May 26, 2008 The GOP is Doomed: The Saga Continues

By Wubbies World

It seems the Washington Times has a very telling story about the brilliance of our GOP leadership in the House of Representatives.

As we all know, at least those who have been following election events, the GOP has lost three special election contests to the Democrats in what have been traditionally safe Republican congressional districts. In each of these elections, the Democrats ran a "Blue Dog" or "conservative" Democrat candidate against an establishment moderate Republican. The Democrat won each time.

I am still cleaning my keyboard from reading the article Erick pointed to in his Red Hot post. If you haven't read it yet, Ben Domenech has a column in the Washington Times. It is a very telling piece on just how far gone the House GOP caucus really is going into this election.

It seems that they are using the same slogan of a brand of anti-depressant drug! "the change you deserve" Effexor XR

This says it all.

I am left speechless.

Posted at 9:56am on May 16, 2008 Congressman Jerry Lewis: Republican on Appropriations - and Corrupt!

By Wubbies World

Erick asked that we start making daily posting on Congressman Don Young everyday to highlight why the man needs to go. I believe Erick is right. However, I believe that for the sake of repairing all that is wrong with the Republicans in Congress, we need to expand that to the members on the appropriation committee. These folks are the poster children of Republican corruption! These are the people who have to go!

Posted at 9:44am on May 16, 2008 Congressman Don Young: Rolling Stone Magazine's 3rd Worst Congressman

By Wubbies World

Republican Congressman Don Young from Alaska has made the fine distinction of being rated #3 on Rolling Stone Magazine's "10 Worst Congressman". How is that for a stellar resume item?

So, what do they have to say about him? Try this on for size:

Even the conservative Heritage Foundation called one of Young's bridges a "national embarrassment." [Ed. He had two "bridges to nowhere"] But the congressman refused to scrap the projects. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, when Sen. John McCain proposed that Young redirect his prized pork money to help rebuild New Orleans, Young accused his detractors of "ignorance and stupidity." The victims of Katrina, he suggested, "can kiss my ear!"

Posted at 4:03pm on May 14, 2008 Breaking: The Polar Bear is Listed on the Endangered Species List

By Wubbies World

It seems that the Polar Bear is now listed officially on the endangered species list due to the decline of ice as its habitat. This gives the fish and game wildlife service authority to say no to any industrial activity based upon carbon emissions.

Hold on to your hats. It is going to get crazy now. Any environmental wacko who wants to stop the building of a gas station in Miami Florida can sue on the basis of this listing and the carbon dioxide emissions that will threaten the Polar Bear.

Posted at 10:35am on May 7, 2008 Tom Cole - NRCC Leadership -the shipwreck

By Wubbies World

I just read an interesting story over at the Politico. It seems that Tom Cole has delivered a message to House Republicans that is not welcome news. However, in my opinion, it is clearly a reflection on the Republican House Leadership and the "bang up" job they are doing.

How bad is it? Here is an excerpt:

Shellshocked House Republicans got warnings from leaders past and present Tuesday: Your party’s message isn’t good enough to prevent disaster in November, and neither is the NRCC’s money.

Posted at 3:16pm on May 6, 2008 News Story: "The Fire Fight My Brother was in Today"

By Wubbies World

I found this by way of Breibart News Service, and it is posted on "YouTube" as well.

It seems a young man serving as an MP in Afghanistan called his parents to let them know he was doing alright. There wasn't anybody home and he got the answering machine. So, he hung up, as he hung up, he, and the men in his unit, started receiving in coming fire. Needless to say, he dropped his phone. As the phone hit the ground, it redialed the last number called, his parents number. As the phone lay there during the fire fight the answering machine recorded a three minute segment of that firefight. Needless to say, his family heard the message.

Posted at 9:13am on May 3, 2008 The Economy: Bad for Democrats - Good for Republicans

By Wubbies World

This past week, the economic numbers have come out. The staccato drum beet of doom and that we are in a recession has been non stop in the news. Blackhedd, put out a post to let us all know that the situation is still not good. I love reading his posts. It gives me a perspective I would not have otherwise. I appreciate him posting this economic information here. It is very good stuff to know for us uneducated about economics and Wall Street matters.

Posted at 10:41am on Apr. 30, 2008 We're In A Recession! - Ummm, I think.....

By Wubbies World

The Fed has released quarterly economic numbers and despite the determination of the press and the Democrats to wish us into a recession, we are still not in one!

Cue the expletives on the Democratic side of the isle. For the Democratic party, bad news on the economy translates to good news for them in the election. That is why they will not do anything to except band aides until November. The ordinary working people in this country are just useful idiots in thier quest for power.

Posted at 3:30pm on Apr. 15, 2008 Evil Big Oil versus Friendly Helpful Big Government

By Wubbies World

I have been wondering about Democratic talking points about big oil and how they are profiteers at the gas pump. However, a thought just struck me:

Oil companies make approximately 9.5 cents on every gallon of gasoline.

However...

The US Federal Government makes 18 cents on every gallon of gasoline. Then once you add the state or local taxes, the tax bite on a gallon of gasoline is up around 45 cents or more a gallon.

Posted at 10:15pm on Mar. 17, 2008 "New" New York Govenor Admits to an Affair - You're Kidding Right?

By Wubbies World

Actually, no I am not kidding!

The thunderous applause was still ringing in his ears when the state's new governor, David Paterson, told the Daily News that he and his wife had extramarital affairs.

I guess it just advanced damage control and it is something in both the past of himself and his wife. I guess it is just better to get it out of the way. The good part about this is that he and his wife have admitted the indiscretions and have put it behind them. My hat is off to the man and his wife for being honest with themselves and the public, since he is high elected office.
