My fellow Americans,
It has come to me in a dream that we are not paying proper homage to the Great Obama. We do not understand, as our liberal brethren has come to understand, that the candidacy of Barack Obama is not just a campaign for the presidency. No, it is a journey of faith and of hope.

The Great Obama need not discuss issues or platforms as that is beneath his dignity. He is not a merely a man seeking the presidency, but a savior to the hopeless American hoards of heathen conservatives. If we would just embrace his New Good News and have faith that he, above all others, is the One whom we all desire to deliver and save us from ignorance and hopelessness.

Believe it or not, we here in Wyoming, one of the reddest of red states, will have a well funded and competitive race for our only seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. The seat is currently being held by 7 term Congresswoman Barbara Cubin. She has been a steadfast conservative and has always stayed close to her principles. As a matter of fact, she recently was one of only a hand full of Congresscritters to vote against the bloated stimulus package. She is retiring at the end of her term and so the race for the open seat begins.

This is a great ad and completely fair. The only thing missing from it is the Gang of 14. The only reason the Gang of 14 was created was to really block conservative judged from the federal bench and to make it seem like a reasonable thing to do.

I would love nothing more than to have a GOP westerner in the White House. Public lands issues in the west are not sexy and don't get much attention, but are some of the most important issues facing the Unites States today. If you are concerned about our dependence on foreign countries for energy and want to achieve greater energy independence, then you too should pay great attention to public lands policy in the west because exploring for minerals that help us generate energy happen to a great degree on federal land in the west.

Wyoming house majority leader Rep. Colin Simpson, son of former U.S. Senator Alan Simpson, has been calling folks around Wyoming and informing them that he will sit out of the race to replace the retiring U.S. Rep. Barbara Cubin in 2008 saying that the impact on his family would be too hard.

Laudable.

The funny thing is he sought the seat in the U.S. Senate vacated by the death of Sen. Craig Thomas in June. In addition, he told The Hill Magazine in July that he informed U.S. Rep. Barbara Cubin that he would primary her in 2008 should she seek an 8th term in office. Why the sudden turnaround?

This is my first blog entry at Red State and is irks me that it is about Scott McClellan. This jerk has leveled serious charges against both the president and vice president – personally. He said that they knowing fed him false information about the so called CIA leak scandal.

Here’s a quote:

I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President's chief of staff, and the President himself.
