THE MAN

From the Press Briefing today.

While serving in Iraq, General Petraeus and General Odierno have proven to be two of the finest military leaders in our nation's history. The President is confident that they are the best men to serve in these positions. They will both do an excellent job in leading our troops to confront challenges in the war on terror and helping to keep our nation safe

Sometimes when looking at the complexities of the nation we lose sight of how the leftist agenda is focused and determined to push their ideals onto every person and institution in this great nation. Yesterday, a liberal policy group produced a letter to Congress to repeal the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy. Regardless of your personal position on the matter of DADT, here is a group of leftists trying to push their ideals onto an institution which has no similarity with the civilian world.

By PhxG

Barely an election goes by where a Baldwin declares that he will leave the country if a certain person is elected to the presidency. But when Stephen Bladwin does it, he means if Obama is elected.

Stephen however, is still not off the hook for Bio-Dome

Posted at 3:02pm on Jun. 23, 2008 30% of Americans are Racist and to prove you are not you should vote Obama

By PhxG

In keeping with this year’s narrative, we discover on Sunday that 30% of all Americans have a race bias.

We can assume through past electoral performance that 40% of the Republican voters and 40% of the Democrat voters are going to vote a straight party ticket, leaving the decision of who is elected to the remaining 20%. (Note: someone else earlier this week said this too, but I cannot find the post. H/T to you Sir Anonymous) And here we have the issue, if 30% of this 20% (6 points) are already predisposed to vote against Obama simply because of his skin color, can he overcome that? I do not believe so.

At the same time, there is an overwhelming public openness to the idea of electing an African American to the presidency. In a Post-ABC News poll last month, nearly nine in 10 whites said they would be comfortable with a black president.

The Real ID Act of 2005 has been shot down in Arizona.

On Tuesday, Gov. Janet Napolitano signed a measure, House Bill 2677, barring Arizona's compliance with the Real ID program. In so doing, she called it an unfunded federal mandate that would stick states such as Arizona with a multibillion-dollar bill for the cost to develop and implement the series of new fraud-proof identification cards. Arizona Republic.

I didn't think Gov. Janet had it in her.

Dear Senator Menendez,

Recently, I have come across a posting you made at huffingtonpost.com, Bush and McCain: Drilling us into a Deeper Hole and after reading said posting I have substantial problem with your position. See Senator, you made this very specific statement about lowering the cost of gas in the US, but fail to actually provide any solutions, just rhetoric:

By PhxG

Sometimes when I run across a blog story I just chuckle that that made the cut to be discussed. But sometimes I can’t help to be disgusted at the overt fawning by bloggers who are presented as journalists. It is the LA Times and all, but still.

The post explores the many daily decisions Obamamessiah must make in order to appeal to Americans. In this post, “Obama's quandary: Wear a helmet, look dumb or be a role model? we get to see what troubles Obama:

*Unless it benefits him electorally.

What you won't hear from this campaign or this party is the kind of politics that uses religion as a wedge, and patriotism as a bludgeon – that sees our opponents not as competitors to challenge, but enemies to demonize. –Barack Obama June 3, 2008

Obama has launched his page to “Fight the Smears”. Certainly this is to clarify many statements of misperceptions that he has said in the past. Strangely absent from clarification are topics that matter to many Americans:

Whenever a man has cast a longing eye on offices, a rottenness begins in his conduct. ~Thomas Jefferson

It can be said with certainty that any person, man, woman, white, black or brown who runs for President of the United States is obligated by the very nature of the position that they seek, to open themselves up for any and all exploration of their past. And why not? This person will be representing every single American; their opinions, actions and most importantly their judgment matters.
