"Wait, running for Congress takes time and money!?! NOW YOU TELL ME??"
That's a quick synopsis of why Republican Nominee Tim Baldermann, who is/was running to fill the vacated seat in Illinois's 11th Congressional District- which was bound to be one of the most hottest congressional races this year, has decided to drop out.
Baldermann, 41, said that until the primary was finished, he was unaware of how time consuming his campaign would be.

OK Folks, McCain is the nominee. It's time we get behind him.

Life goes on folks, and like Mitt said, we can't afford a catastrophic pull out of Iraq. But don't worry, this isn't carte blanche. I personally feel that McCain needs to be held to certain standards. If he strays to far, forgets conservatives after getting our support, then frankly I will be happy to call him on it. Until then, I will operate on good faith that McCain is going to unify us.

McCain's spending the day in Boston was originally supposed to look like a symbolic blow to Romney. While Romney was flailing around the country trying to pick up delegates, John and his Straight talk entourage would hang out in Boston and gnaw away at Romney's home town. I am sure there was a lot of high fiving and laughter when the McCain camp made this decision, but one thing is for sure, although McCain seems to want to give the proverbial finger to Romney, the voters in California and Georgia seem to be flipping it back.

I know what the head to head polls say, and unless you think polls don't change over 11 months (cuckoo...cuckoo) we as a party have some serious introspection as to what McCain's weaknesses are. So allow me to post what will most likely be the final nails in the coffin for McCain, somewhere around October 31st of 2008.

Grassroots Campaign Against McCain.
While a lot of people seem to be resigning themselves to McCain, let's not be so fast. This is probably going to be one of the most exciting weeks of the race. Yes, McCain won big, but a McCainiac is largely mistaken to think it's wrapped up. McCain will have it wrapped up if we wins such a large amount of votes on Super Tuesday that he only needs a few more states to win. Should Romney and him come out with only 100-200 delegate count difference, than I really doubt it's over. And hey this isn't a pipe dream, Newt said as much yesterday on Fox.

McCain put out this commercial today:
It seems from this we are supposed to gather that the Dem's are shaking in their boots at the prospects of facing McCain in the generals. Last night on Hannity and Colmes I was amazed at how the Democratic Strategist so quickly and readily offered up that McCain would be a near insurmountable candidate to beat. Not that she said it, but that it's like the 10th time I have heard it given up so easily by a Dem strategist on Fox News as of late.

Full disclosure, I am in charge of the online efforts for Laura Bartell’s campaign for State Legislature in the 66th district. I work unpaid.
I was just reading this post on Christine Prochno’s campaign against her competitor Laura Bartell in the 66th Illinois District Republican Primary for State Legislature. While I do believe that Christine Prochno is good person, I think that a valid argument can be made for her opponent Laura Bartell, who in my opinion is the better candidate.
