Conventional wisdom seems to indicate Barack Obama will prove a tougher candidate for Senator McCain than his colleague from New York. In fact, many Democrats torn between the ideological comrades Obama and Clinton turn to the former because they perceive him as more "electable," "likable," and, as Senator Obama said earlier today, less likely to get "swift-boated." I know there are several liberals who poke around this site warning us about Obama, and many of our own commentators believe the Illinois Senator's momentum will prove insurmountable in a general election campaign, but I will argue otherwise.
