Posted at 12:30am on Jan. 20, 2008 Huckabee: Down But Not Out
Mike Huckabee's campaign was critically wounded tonight. I could argue that it was a small 3% loss that was due to 1) bad weather in the northern part of South Carolina and 2) Fred siphoning votes from Huck, but I do not want to detract from McCain's huge victory. Congratulations, Senator McCain.
There is still one last chance for Huckabee to regain momentum heading into Super Tuesday. Florida is proving to be the new "South Carolina" this election season. Whoever wins Florida will have enough momentum to win the nomination. Could Huck possibly sneak in from behind and win Florida?? Yes, and here's why:

Posted at 9:30pm on Jan. 16, 2008 Some South Carolina Thoughts: McCain vs. Huckabee
Recent polls are showing that South Carolina is a McCain vs. Huckabee race (Mitt and Fred are significantly behind in the state). South Carolina is a crucial state because it is the first state in which 4 major candidates are actually competing. South Carolina will give the winner the momentum to compete in Florida. South Carolina will eliminate at least one candidate from contention. And the winner of South Carolina will likely go on to win the nomination.

#3: Huckabee Supports FMA
The Federal Marriage Amendment would define marriage as between a man and a woman. While this issue of gay marriage is a winning issue for the Republican party, only two candidates actually support FMA:

Posted at 4:34pm on Dec. 29, 2007 Reason #2: Huckabee Will Fight For Good Judges
I continue my march towards establishing 7 good reasons to vote for Mike Huckabee. In my first reason, I argued that Huckabee is the only major candidate who can be trusted on the issue of abortion. Today, I will touch upon another very important reason: judges.
Reason #2: Huckabee Will Fight For Good Judges.

Posted at 7:21pm on Dec. 27, 2007 Huckabee was Right on Pakistan
While some are grasping at straws just to criticize Huckabee's every word (even when he clearly only meant to say "condolences"), it is actually Huckabee that was very prescient on the volatile situation surrounding Pakistan. Back in September, Huckabee gave a detailed foreign policy speech (see my commentary) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, in which he said:

Posted at 12:37pm on Dec. 20, 2007 Rudy's Campaign is Imploding
Take a look at the latest daily national Rasmussen poll:
Mike Huckabee 21%
John McCain 15%
Mitt Romney 15%
Rudy Giuliani 13%
Fred Thompson 12%
Ron Paul 6%
I had a feeling that Rudy's candidacy wouldn't last this long. The 2 man race is turning out to be Huck vs. Mitt.

Posted at 3:03pm on Dec. 18, 2007 Reason #1 to Support Mike Huckabee: He is Pro-Life
I would like to present 7 good reasons to vote for Mike Huckabee in the primary. Today, I will only touch upon the first reason.
Before you read this blog, emotionally detach yourself from your preferred candidate. It is always helpful to be dispassionately objective and logical when analyzing political candidates. And if you are not pro-life, you can stop reading this diary right now.
Reason #1: Huckabee is pro-life.

Posted at 4:32pm on Nov. 24, 2007 RedState loves to talk about Mike Huckabee!
I have observed that the buzz around Mike Huckabee's candidacy is growing at an exponential rate. Even here at RedState, we talk about Mike Huckabee perhaps more than any other candidate! This is a very good thing.
Let me be clear. Huckabee is not the best choice for social conservatives who wish to nominate an electable consistent pro-life pro-family candidate. He is the only choice.
