Restoring the public’s confidence in the elections process and in those who serve in elected office is a worthy goal. Those in public office who have the courage to stand up to special interests and try to reclaim the political process for the people should be applauded. The members of the Joint Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Interim Committee are attempting to be those kinds of public servants. Unfortunately, they are falling woefully short.

Posted at 8:05pm on Apr. 26, 2007 AR-SEN: Pryor is a model of principle – wait – WHAT THE FU…
By Bill Cubin
I just wanted to take the opportunity to express my admiration for a principled Democrat Senator from Arkansas and his commitment to the safety and well being of our troops and their families!
“It is a grave mistake to publicly announce timetables and consequently hand over our game plan to the enemy. I have talked to countless troops and their families who have pleaded with me not to give the enemy any indication of troop movements, especially those showing we are reducing forces. They know it endangers them and their comrades. I cannot and will not put our men and women in uniform at risk.”http://pryor.senate.gov/newsroom/details.cfm?id=270771)

Here it is April 2007 and the 2008 election is well underway. No, I am not talking about the presidential election. I am talking about the campaign for the U.S. House in Wyoming. A little known and not well publicized event occurred that launched this race and portends to make it one of the most watched races in the country.
In the middle of March, Gary Trauner announced that he will again be a candidate for Wyoming’s lone seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008. You remember Gary – he was the Democratic nominee in 2006 and lives in Wilson.

I originally started this as a comment to "They All Suck," by Erick, but then I got to thinking that this might make a better stand-alone blog.
Does anybody remember January and February of 1995? If you remember, most people and a good portion of the MSM had written off Bill Clinton as a failed one-term president. It wasn't until December 2005 that he regained the confidence of the American people and proceeded to kick our asses for the next four years.

This is my first time at RedState and I am glad to be here.
I guess I should start by telling a little about myself. I am a husband and father of two. I live in Casper, Wyoming and have been both a Republican and conservative all of my life. I have been involved in many campaigns in Wyoming from the local level to the state-wide races and I thoroughly enjoy the fight of a camapign. It is stressful, but there is not much that beats the feeling of winning.
