By DraftNewt

So, Newt, are we still on for September?

I should jolly well hope so!

Looking at some of the polling over the Easter break, I can’t help but notice the possibility that Rudy Giuliani’s lead at the top of the Republican pack is slipping. As you’ll read from any analysis, Fred Thompson’s surge is eating into Rudy’s vote. On the other side, Mitt Romney is ploughing into McCain’s lead. Whether this is transference (McCain has been slipping in the polls for a while) or genuine conversion is debatable. The interesting analysis for Newt, and we supporters, is that chaos reigns supreme.

Posted at 12:33pm on Apr. 2, 2007 On Iran, Newt speaks for Britain!

By DraftNewt

As a British patriot watching Newt's video on how to get our British servicemen back, it is, in short, a moving statement from a man who, I am sure as ever, should be President. It’s clear he has a strategy to deal with the Iranians that our nincompoop Prime Minister Blair hasn’t even countenanced – or he would have done it by now.

Our poisonous ‘partners’ in the EU refuse to implement trade sanctions, giving us another reason why Britain should leave the EU. The UN should go to the Wizard of Oz to ask for some balls because it’s certainly in need of something to help it stand up to Iran. I still can't believe that it won’t even call for the immediate release of our servicemen, despite Iran taking them from international waters, breaking any number of international laws. If it couldn't get any worse, our Prime Minister is too terrified of blemishing his legacy to take on the lawless Iranians, shirking his role as a statesman determined, like most conservatives, to win the war on terror. The only one who seems to have spoken out to get British troops back is Newt Gingrich!

Posted at 12:44pm on Apr. 1, 2007 Who-mentum

By DraftNewt

Momentum is one of the most dangerous forces in politics. Along with honesty, clarity and brevity, momentum can make or break a candidacy. The best thing about it, which sets it apart from the other ‘detrimental’ forces in modern politics, is that the candidate struck down by momentum has no power over it. Just muttering an off the cuff remark that you ‘may’ enter a race or are ‘thinking’ about it is enough to open the Pandora’s Box of electoral politics.

By DraftNewt

Below is a link and excerpt people might find...interesting. It's in regards to Mitt Romney's announcement of whom he's considered to be his running mates.

From the website Senate 2008 Guru: Following the Races

"Can you believe Mitt Romney? He trails in single digits in just about every poll, often behind Newt Gingrich who isn't even running yet, and he's already discussing running mates! Most laughable possible running mate: Newt Gingrich, who Romney is running behind!"
