Posted at 8:09am on Nov. 1, 2007 LOST - Passed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee

By iamsaved

A good article on the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) should be setting off a lot more alarms among the conservative blogosphere with increasing vocalization to our congressmen and women against this treaty.

First and foremost, any granting of any additional power to the UN should be suspect. Their track record of corruption and hatred toward the U.S. should give one pause - especially our elected officials. In reading the major points of the treaty one has to wonder why any American would even agree to such terms.

Posted at 10:29am on Oct. 19, 2007 Hillary and the Chinese!

By iamsaved

There's a recent article from the LA Times regarding Hillary's political donations from Chinatown - donations from bus boys; dish washers, etc.

Going back a few months when her connection to Hsu broke, one wondered how a family with only $55,000.00 annual income could contribute so much to her campaign in proportion to their income. (more...)

Posted at 9:37am on Jun. 22, 2007 Timely reminder - Orange County (CA) Letter to the Editor (never published)

By iamsaved

Here's an email that's been floating around the internet for awhile. While many have read it, others haven't. I believe it is timely and a good reminder as to why many of us oppose the current immigration legislation. Who knows, it could be a hoax, but even if it is, the words ring true...
(actually www.snopes.com claims it is false -- not the email, just the premises stated in the email).

Posted at 9:30am on Jun. 21, 2007 Corruption Follows the Clintons - Interesting Article!

By iamsaved

Jack Cashill has written an insightful article on the corruption of the Clinton's and the findings of the Thompson committee that investigated some of it.

The irony of it all is how many people have been deceived by these people over the years and still blindly follow them. How many rocks must be overturned with some slime underneath each one before they wake up? - read more

Posted at 12:04pm on May 18, 2007 Illegal Immigration is a Sticky Wicket!

By iamsaved

I feel there is no simple solution to the illegal immigrant issue and to say we round them all up and push them back across the border is too simplistic if not impossible. The enforcement should have been on-going and we should not have let the problem build up to the unmanageable level that it is now. But, something has to be done.

Since our government hasn't enforced the immigration laws in the past, why should I believe they will enforce them in the future? Any laws they pass will probably either be too diluted to the point of ineffectiveness or totally mis-guided.

Posted at 2:13pm on Apr. 23, 2007 Reid's Defiance!

By iamsaved

Harry Reid is determined to have his way politically in his personal war against President George Bush despite what harm it does to the country. He claims in his comments that he will not let this President to do what another President, Lyndon Johnson, did to "save face" and allow more troops to die while President Bush pursues "his" war in Iraq. What Harry Reid fails to mention are the millions who lost their lives subsequent to the Democrats "unfunding" of the Vietnam war. It doesn't take much imagination to see history will repeat itself if Dirty Harry has his way.

Posted at 5:16pm on Apr. 19, 2007 Harry Reid Says The War in Iraq is Lost

By iamsaved

Harry Reid says the war in Iraq is lost after the recent bombings there.

I guess we should close the college campuses down and send the students home because of the recent massacre at Virginia Tech. This senator puts new meaning into the "cut and run" moniker that has been placed on liberal Democrats.

Whatever happened to statesmanship?
