I am proud to know that we raised our collective voices and thwarted the Democratic leadership from purposefully stabbing our military efforts in the back. The fact that we beat back the Armenian genocide vote gives me hope, but it does not solve the problem. Who defines the fine line between being the opposition party and being unpatriotic?
To debate what we are doing is one thing, but to continually make efforts to thwart success for our men and women in the military, and in turn America, is something else entirely.

Democrats on the Hill have once again taken steps to handicap our efforts in the Middle East and the War of Terror. Circumstances in the world today leave anyone with issues they could devote their time worrying about but I am afraid we are not taking the most dangerous problem we face seriously. We are allowing this fear to be minimized and swept under the rug, granting the uninformed the opportunity to pretend that there is no threat. In quoting Kevin Spacey from the Usual Suspects, “The greatest feat the devil ever accomplished was convincing the world he did not exist.” If we do not take the threat from terrorism for what it is, one of us might be writing this exact letter years from now.
