Let's move beyond the cross-party appeal, and the concern that a Lieberman choice would alienate some conservatives.
Here is why I want McCain to pick Lieberman.
He won't stand a chance as a future Republican nominee.
The last thing I want, and this party needs, is McCain setting somebody up as an heir-apparent. I don't want McCain picking some moderate, squishy RINO that, if McCain wins, would be primed to be the nominee in 2012 (if McCain opts not to run) or 2016.

Dear Senator Kerry:
You were on “This Week” this morning talking about how Obama wants to give a $1000 to middle class taxpayers. I’m pretty sure I fall into any reasonable definition of middle class. I believe it is pretty clear that this tax cut would be “paid for” by increasing taxes on “the rich.” I am also pretty sure that you would fall into any reasonable definition of “the rich.” Based on these policy proposals, that means I’m entitled to 1000 of your dollars.

Over at the Politico, Ben Smith details an exchange Obama had with a reporter over the rumored "whitey" video. Here's Obama's response:
“We have seen this before. There is dirt and lies that are circulated in e-mails and they pump them out long enough until finally you, a mainstream reporter, asks me about it,” Obama said to the McClatchy reporter during a press conference aboard his campaign plane. “That gives legs to the story. If somebody has evidence that myself or Michelle or anybody has said something inappropriate, let them do it.”

I recall seeing a blog on the movie RECOUNT a little while back but haven't seen much else on it. That blog talked about how the movie displayed how the Democrats tried to steal the election. I thought I'd add a slightly different take on it.
Look at the portrayal of Warren Christopher. He is shown to be weak and easily pushed over. And this was a Secretary of State we got under a Democrat administration.

Obama is rated as the most liberal senator by the national journal. That may not be surprising on its face and is probably something most of you have heard/read before.
But think about it for a minute.
There's a self-proclaimed socialist in the Senate (Bernie Sanders). Obama scored more liberal than him. Barack Obama, more liberal than a socialist!
