Posted at 2:54pm on Jul. 10, 2008 Rove Refuses To Testify, Democrats Cry
By Chris Jones
It was hard to keep from laughing this morning when a placard with Karl Rove's name sat in front of an empty chair where the former Presidential aide was supposed to testify. Democrats have tried unsuccessfully to tie Karl Rove to some kind of scandal for the last seven years.

Posted at 2:04pm on May 27, 2008 'Recount' Proves Democrats Tried To Steal The Election
By Chris Jones
I just finished watching "Recount" starring Kevin Spacey that the far-left has been promoting all week. To be honest, I was very surprised how the movie turned out. I figured it would be 90 minutes of red meat for the far-left crowd who still suffer sleepless nights thinking about how Bush "stole" the election in 2000.
Cosmetically the film turned out as I anticipated it would. Democrats were depicted as righteous crusaders who only wanted to do the right thing and make every vote count. Republicans on the other hand led by former Secretary of State James Baker were meant to be depicted as political thugs who used a combination of dirty tricks and favors to get George W. Bush elected.

Posted at 1:38pm on May 21, 2008 Chuck Hagel Isn't Really A Republican
By Chris Jones
Chuck Hagel should really stop pretending to be a Republican, when he hasn't actually acted like one in years. Republicans should just officially take Lieberman in trade for Hagel and get it over with.
Chuck's most recent act of treason was his speech to a small gathering at the home of the Ambassador to Italy a few nights ago. The faux Republican lambasted McCain and heaped praise on Obama for his willingness to appease talk with America's enemies.

Posted at 4:20pm on Apr. 28, 2008 Wright Was Right, Then Wrong Again
By Chris Jones
We are currently enjoying day number two of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright media blitz, and it gets a little worse at every stop.
I watched Rev. Wright on Bill Moyers the other night and was
impressed. Keeping in mind that Bill Moyers is a dishonest hack who's
just trying to get Obama elected, I still thought Rev. Wright showed an
impressive intellect and made some very good points.

By Chris Jones
In his latest column, NY Times Op-ed writer Frank Rich gets it wrong (as usual) when talking about Iraq. This week in particular Frank misses the mark with his explanation of why movies about the Iraq war do so poorly at the Box Office.

Posted at 6:14pm on Mar. 16, 2008 Obama's Church Accuses Media Of "Crucifiction"
By Chris Jones
From The Politico:
The church attended by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) fought back Sunday against mounting criticism of its pastor, accusing the media of character assassination and “crucifixion.”
Otis Moss II, the current pastor of Trinity United Church, used his pulpit to defend his congregation and its past minister, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., from a wave of controversy stemming from inflammatory statements made by Wright.

The top U.S. military commander for the Middle East resigned Tuesday amid speculation about a rift over U.S. policy in Iran. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said that Adm. William J. Fallon, whose area of responsibility includes Iraq, had asked for permission to retire and that Gates agreed.

Posted at 6:12pm on Feb. 12, 2008 The Return Of Big Brother In Putin's Russia
By Chris Jones
The St. Petersburg Times has an interesting Op-Ed about how President Putin has built up Russia's security apparatus to the point that it now it exceeds the power the KGB once held in the Soviet Union.
As a former KGB man himself, Putin has spent his Presidency rebuilding the secret police and intelligence services that former President Yeltsin dismantled. After the fall of the Soviet Union, the KGB was reborn as the FSB as it is called today.

By Chris Jones
From Mediabistro:
On Thursday's "Tucker" on MSNBC, David Shuster, who was serving as guest-host of the program, made a comment about Chelsea Clinton and the Clinton campaign that was irresponsible and inappropriate.
Shuster, who apologized this morning on MSNBC and will again this evening, has been suspended from appearing on all NBC News broadcasts, other than to make his apology.
