Conservatism lives on at the University of Florida... we do tase liberals.
Last week was the 5th anniversary of the Iraq War. To no one’s surprise there were protests on campus. Recently I’ve been lucky enough to finally meet fellow conservatives who see the lack of conservatism on campus not as a downfall, instead as an opportunity to spread what we hold dear. With that, it should come as no surprise that we protested the protesters. In the end I ended up in the middle of Turlington Plaza with a bullhorn in hand debating a group of students and some kid that thinks its 1968 all over again. Fighting the hecklers was an uphill battle, and eventually I had to stop the debate after I told a girl that my goal was to “stomp out liberalism.”
