The Republican Party has historically been the Conservative Party, our party, but it has been pretty disappointing by abandoning America's First Principles, practically only supporting incumbant Republicans, and supporting a maverick Republican over Reagan Conservative Fred Thompson for President (my opinion added).
But the Republican Party has created us a major opportunity to influence the Party with our pro-freedom Conservative Ideas by influencing the Party Platform.

Some have been calling for boycotts of the Summer Olympics, even on the Right, and although I am on the Right, I do not believe we should boycott the Summer Olympics.
Just think about it for a moment, what the heck will a boycott do? The answer: NOTHING! China will keep doing what it's doing, they'll probably do something stupid to thumb its nose in America and the internation community.
What America, and the President, should do is go to the Summer Olympics and use it as a platform to make China's human rights violations public and really hammer home our opinions of what China is doing. And to use the Summer Olympics to really push hard for trade liberalization, and eventually democracy (that's a big EVENTUALLY).

Conservatives and Christians just screwed their chances at keeping the White House. I just want y'all to know that. Because y'all decided not to vote for the true conservative, because he got in to late, the death of his candidacy is on your shoulders. Thank you for causing the death of America.
But my 2nd choice was Mitt Romney, and I will still vote for him come election day, but I am VERY skeptical that he can win.

Then why are Conservatives not flocking to Fred Thompson's Campaign? So what if he is late getting in and getting the energy to campaign! That doesn't mean he isn't the Reagan Conservative in this race! We should be flocking to his campaign based on Principles and Policies, not based on enery to campaign!
If Conservatives flock to his Campaign now, then maybe the Reagan Conservative will get enough new Friends of Fred to convince him to stay in the race!
