Wow, just when McCain has to begin showing sceptical conservatives that he's really a Reagan Republican, along comes a "hit piece" by the NYT.
Hit piece? More like a wet-noodle.
Didn't the NYT just endorse McCain last month while they were developing this story? Hasn't he been their star example of what all good Republicans should strive to be? Weren't the primaries strangely void of any negativity towards McCain while other Republican candidates got snarkily clothes-lined by our friends in the MSM? (Meanwhile Huckabee has yet to have a glove laid on him by the MSM as he's aways just been a spoiler for the Republicans and not a serious candidate).

Although most conservatives are aware of the bias within the Drive By Media (tm) it is glaringly apparent that the Drive By Media (tm) have become emboldened in their willingness to distort and manipulate what conservatives say and what conservative ideals are in order to influence their audience against conservative causes and ideals and to fabricate facts to fit their own preconceived notions and desires that have as their apparent goal a socialist utopia.
What was meant by the Founders to be a fundamental right of the People and a check on the excesses of government and factionalism, has been hijacked by self-named 'News' organizations that have themselves become one of the factions.
They violate the law with seeming impunity (due to First Amendment concerns) and are shaping public opinion and denying others a voice.
