I filled in my bubble for Mitt today, but it was not enough. The party has been torn apart by Bush and it seems as though Mitt just wasn't the guy to put it back together again. Like Fred before him the balkinized GOP just won't accept the "conservative" to lead the party. The "conservative" no longer receives the benefit of the doubt. Too many failures of leadership and policy have been laid at the feet of "conservatives" even though those who lead us to this place were not "conservatives".

Just took a look at Rasmussen's numbers today and I must say this is the most exciting primary I've ever seen for the GOP.
These are national numbers BTW.
"14% of voters remain undecided. With just days to go before the unpredictable Iowa caucuses, it’s Rudy Giuliani 19% , Mike Huckabee 17%, Mitt Romney 14%, John McCain 14%, and Fred Thompson at 13%"
Considering the +/- 4 percent and that Rasmussen has the best methodology that means it's a 5 way tie. Never, at least in my lifetime, has the GOP been this close with this many in the top tier.

Since the next President will be Republican(God is merciful) and the Congress will be Democrat(God is also just) which candidate would be interested in a legacy of vetos? You can pretty much forget just about any big changes towards conservative governance until we get congress back, so really we're just looking to lose no ground. The only major thing any of the GOP may accomplish is a justice for the SCOTUS.

In an effort to take social issues off the table the MSM and MSConservatives pushed upon the republican party a RINO from NY. Rudy was hailed as the necessary compromise. He was Americans mayor and the toughest SOB against radiacal Islam. Social cons must put aside their devotion to moral values and instead make their highest moral priority National Security. After all what's the point of having an abortion debate if radical Islam is going to kill us.

I found these facts while listening to sports radio discuss the murder of Sean Taylor. They had some guy claim that the media was wrong to bring up his past and his death had nothing to do with race. He said all races kill more of their own, than kill other races. He is correct about the last point, but I was annoyed enought with his other points to send an e-mail.
Upon reflection the e-mail was probably ignored and I didn't want it to go to waste. Please forgive my indulgence in posting it here.
