Posted at 9:44pm on Jun. 1, 2005 What I Heard - Impeach GW Bush
By pac NY
On some who-knows-what radio station left on in my car, while on my way into work this evening, New York time about 6:15, I heard a news report stating that based on the evidence of a meeting and taken from an official "memo" alleged by British officials to be a true and accurate account between Tony Blair and President Bush, that they conspired beforehand to the plan to invade Iraq, and before it was announced, using the "lie" of WMD to have Congress consent to our subsequent military invasion.
This alleged conspiracy has apparently prompted Democrat leaders to immediately ask Democratic senators to introduce bills to begin the impeachment of G.W.Bush.
Further, this news report went on to say that in order to put pressure on above mentioned Democrat senators, so far over a half-million online "signatures" have been procured on a pettition to calling for the impeachment President Bush.
Anyone ?? I don't think I passed through the Twilight Zone on my way to work tonight.

By pac NY
I'm fairly new to Redstate, and I think most all that I have been reading here so far, is informative and thought-provoking. But, please allow me to say I believe "we" are essentially preaching to the choir.
Those here at Redstate seem to clearly know and understand what is at stake for our nation's future, and President Bush's re-election confirms that so many Americans share these same sustaining views and certainly most all the same strenghtening values, for our nation.
But I also believe, the leftist ideology as it has evolved and taken root in America, will not go away, ever. In spite of all the glad tidings that came with the 11/2 election results, the monster on the left will not be subdued.
Indeed, I believe the lunacy and hostility and hate will continue to increase.
And, obviously it is not possible to legislate rational thinking for those who are in apparent violation.
What I truly think needs to be addressed is the serious and very basic issue of what is going on - or more accurately what is going wrong - with the citizens in this country.
Concerns for the status of our economy, immigration laws, abortion, gay marriage, environmental issues, etc. do not, in and of themselves or even combined, seem adequately proprotional to the degree of hostility that has risen up in the last many months or more.
That the MSM has been openly hateful and slanderous of the President, seems to have some believe they now have license to be even more openly hostile in public to others.
I believe the constant barrage of such manifest negativity has caused the nature of many to have been changed to the degree that standards of general civility have definitely dropped a few notches and will probably remain in this woeful state, and worsen.
I do not forget that the DNC promises to come back full force for the next election. Between now and then I fear we have not really seen the depths to which they will risk lowering themselves for their cause. But I do think they will not be as obvious next time around. And, so, by then how many new voters will likely be so duped?
Most disturbing to me personally, is just how many people who were Kerry supporters, have patterned their behavior in accordance with their leaders, thus demonstrating their utter willingness to follow such flawed representation.
It is this particular aspect that we have seen in those with liberal mind-sets, which I find truly alarming.
All the political analyses in the world does not address what is going on in the minds of group(s) who absolutely believe that what is the right course for our nation, is everything they perceive to be absolutely wrong for the rest of the world, and they will work relentlessly against what the majority of Americans hold dear and sacred.
Fortunately - for now - we still do have the man in office who knows that we must do what we must do, without needing to first win a global popularity contest. Thank God.
However, I beleive we will be facing the very same scenario of paranoia and anger from the left in the near future as was borne out in this last presidential campaign... and this last one was trial enough for most.
Then what? Deja vu all over again?

I know if President Bush had not be re-elected I would have been quite deeply upset as I presume most Republicans would have been. But I hardly believe we would have become dysfunctional.
In her Time article titled, "Buck Up, Liberals: How to Get Over It", Michelle Cottle comments on how liberals must try to cope and resume life after President's Bush's win, as if they had been fully functional before 11/2.
Bitterly divided as the country is, many Kerry supporters instead must simply learn how to function at whatever stage of recovery they can attain.
I don't know. I'm just not feeling so terribly sympathetic to their suffering. But, hey.. maybe that's just me.

Posted at 5:39pm on Nov. 4, 2004 Just One Suggestion
By pac NY
In reading some of the news pieces on the reaction of the DNC to this election's outcome, it seems that by and large, they have determined they need to re-think how to better connect on the issues that matter most to the American people.
Well, that may be all well and good.
But I do have a suggestion for them. They might first consider how to better disconnect from the people at MoveOn, Michael Moore and most of Hollywood. Obviously, the all-out efforts of these people can do nothing to help Democrats in the future.

Posted at 2:40am on Nov. 4, 2004 Did Anyone See This ...??
By pac NY
An old friend of mine is a recently converted Republican. It was this friend who happened to direct me earlier to take a look at the MichaelMoore.com web site. My friend told me to take a GOOD look.
Has anyone else seen it? I did. And if anyone cares to look, you may be surprised as I was - at first.
There is only a graphic of President Bush's face on that site, and it looks fairly unremarkable at first glance, except that it's made up of extremely tiny square mosaics.
On closer in spection as my friend suggested, I used a small magnifying glass to get a better look of the graphic on my monitor, and lo and behold! President Bush's face is comprised of individual tiny square photos of soldiers - and I can only presume they are soldiers who have died in Iraq.
Apparently, this is Moore's idea of a 'message'.
And, I suppose in this way, Moore thinks he has had the last word on the re-election of President Bush.
However, I believe the families of those soldiers would feel it a grave dishonor to have their loved ones photos on his site.

Posted at 5:56am on Nov. 3, 2004 Will They Go Away ?
By pac NY
I just want to say hello to all. I'm a new member here at RedState.org although I've been reading this site every day in these last couple of months. I think you have all made excellent observations regarding this election and I agree with the assessments I've read here regarding Kerry and the vast left idiocracy.
From what I've just heard of live news coverage it's almost certain Bush will remain our President and most welcome news it is.
What I want to know is - does anyone think we might now have respite from the blathering Michael Moore and all the other hate-mongering liberals we've had to endure for what seems to have been almost this entire past year? With the sheer numbers of Americans who have voted for President Bush's re-election, I know it would be unthinkable for those who worked relentlessly to try to replace him, to retract their vile comments, but might they ever just - go away now?
