Before I embark on this McCain Derangement Syndrome (MDS) journey, a few disclosures are probably in order.
1) The dog I had in this hunt is currently at home with his trophy wife (lucky dog :-) and for me, everyone else was a 'fer piece' back (some a little 'ferrer' than others)
2) Before I even had the chance to completely sort through my options, the guy toward whom I was gravitating managed to get the MSM to stop discussing how poorly they thought my dog performed as a candidate, and dropped out as well, so I am now down to my #5. (hey, my endorsement of your least favorite candidate is available but it won’t be cheap)

For those of you with even a modicum of computer skills, you'll discover that my posting history on RS doesn't exactly rank with the Gamecocks, absentees, blackrepublican and EPUs of the world). Chalk that up to the fact that I won't be confused with Bill Gates anytime soon so it took a while for me to figure out just how this whole posting thing works (that and I have a day job :-).
However, as a long-time reader of RS (and a subscriber to HE all the way back to my college days which is longer ago than I care to admit) I could fairly be classified as a political junkie and policy wonk (Mrs. Burke would sadly concur) with a Jeffersonian belief that the government that governs least governs best.
