On Thursday July 3, Obama held two press conferences on Iraq to clarify his position. The net effect was that he created more confusion on his policy than clarity.
Yet the media began with a mantra that a confusion of policy, and a want to be all things to all people, was actually "flexibility" - and that flexibility is a good quality for as leader!
I would agree that flexibility is a good quality in a leader, but in the case of Iraq, it wasnn't Obama who was flexible.

I am surprised that no one else has mentioned McCain's speech today.
For some reason, Republican candidates have had a tough time in the past speaking on the importance of events such as Selma, and what they mean to our history, and to simple concepts such as human dignity.
I think this is an excellent opportunity to start building bridges to minorities that have traditionally believed that the Republican Party stands for white people in gated communities.
