As a rule, I tend to ignore the bloviating by has-beens and never weres over at HuffPo, however my curiosity was peaked regarding
an op-ed piece published yesterday claiming to be a “warning” to Republicans. Interestingly, the piece was written by former hardcore, evangelical Republican turned left-wing Greek Orthodox media figure, Frank Schaeffer. For those unfamiliar with Mr. Schaeffer, he and his father, Francis Schaeffer, helped to spearhead the pro-life movement in the 1970’s and, in all fairness, did play a part in mobilizing evangelicals to become major political players in United States politics.
