By Bill Dupray
Obama was famous in the Illinois Senate for avoiding tough votes by voting "present." This tactic, of course, is the last refuge of linguini-spined, unprincipled politicians. Even John Edwards took him to the wood shed on it during the debates.

Posted at 10:44am on Jul. 11, 2008 What ANWR Really Looks Like
By Bill Dupray
McCain could travel all the way to Alaska to see what ANWR really looks like, and after the visit he may change his mind about drilling there. Or he can save himself the trip and watch this video. Once again, if the Republicans can use this stuff to show the American people how the whack-jobs are running the Democrat Party, he may have a chance.

By Bill Dupray
Keep in mind that John Kerry won the state by 7 points with Nader taking one more. If the Messiah cannot keep New Jersey in the solid Blue category, he may well be toast. From Rasmussen.

By Bill Dupray
It has been one year since Prince William County, Virginia began its crackdown on illegals. Many have fled to Maryland, a very Blue sanctuary state. Though Marylanders don't like it, their lawmakers refuse to respond to the problem. The self-deportation by Hispanics from the "Devil's County," or as they call it in Spanish, Condado del Diablo, was noted back in March by the Washington Post in a series of stories.

Posted at 5:03pm on Jul. 9, 2008 ABC News Asks 60 Soldiers Who They'll Vote for - Doesn't Report the 54 For McCain
By Bill Dupray
From Right Wing Dog.
This from Major General (ret) Buckman.
My niece, Katelyn, stationed at Baluud , Iraq was assigned, with others of her detachment, to be escort/guard/watcher for Martha Raddatz of ABC News as she covered John McCain’s recent trip to Iraq.
Katelyn and her Captain stood directly behind Raddatz as she queried GI’s walking past. They kept count of the GI’s and you should remember these numbers. She asked 60 GI’s who they planned to vote for in November. 54 said John McCain, 4 for Obama, and 2 for Hillary.

We can thank Al Gore for harming the world's children. From the Herald Sun via Rush.
Psychiatrists have detected the first case of "climate change delusion." [snip]
Writing in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry, Joshua Wolf and Robert Salo of our Royal Children's Hospital say this delusion was a "previously unreported phenomenon".

Posted at 7:40am on Jul. 8, 2008 Michelle Obama to Focus on Military Families. This Ought to Be Good.
By Bill Dupray
Apparently Michelle Obama's pride in America (circa 2007) places her in a unique situation to understand the issues facing military families. From Military Times.
Michelle Obama says military families can expect to see more of her.
Obama told USA Today in late June that the struggles of military families would be one of her areas of focus as first lady. On the campaign trail for her husband, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, she already has met with military families in two locations: with about 30 spouses in Fayetteville, N.C., near Fort Bragg, on May 5, and with about a dozen spouses in Hopkinsville, Ky., near Fort Campbell, on May 19.

By Bill Dupray
From CNN.
You can officially scratch off Sen. Jim Webb's name from the list of Barack Obama's potential running mates.
The freshmen senator from Virginia and onetime Republican said unequivocally Monday he does not want to be the Illinois senator's No. 2.
"Last week I communicated to Senator Obama and his presidential campaign my firm intention to remain in the United States Senate, where I believe I am best equipped to serve the people of Virginia and this country," Webb said in an issued statement. “Under no circumstances will I be a candidate for Vice President."

Posted at 11:57am on Jul. 7, 2008 Democrat Convention Trainwreck
By Bill Dupray
The New York Times thinks the inmates have taken over the asylum in planning the Democrat Convention in Denver. It started out a week ago with the DNC Food Nazis telling everyone what they can and cannot eat (nothing new there). In this post, Idiot, Control-Freak, Do-Gooder Liberals, it was noted.
