Obama's 11th Hour collapse against Her Thighness in Texas and Ohio has proved, I think beyond a shred of a doubt that he is in fact, an empty Suit. Like many young people I thought...well I don't agree with him but he sounds different. Maybe he is?
No, he's a spineless liberal who's afraid to even stand up and say it.
I believe he will still win the Democratic nomination despite impending defeat in Texas/Ohio/Road Island, and soon Pennsylvania.

Chris Hackett is a pure, Toomey-esque conservative running against moderate Democratic Freshman Congressman, Chris Carney. Hackett's primary opponent, Dan Meuser has donated to Hillary Clinton in the past along with other prominent dems.
The race marks another rift amongst Conservatives in Pennsylvania with Pat Toomey's Club for Growth and the Conservative Reform PAC siding with Hackett and more establishment conservative types like former Senator Rick Santorum endorsing Meuser.

We picked the right candidate!
...for the wrong election.
John McCain was the perfect candidate to run against Hillary.
She's unlikeable, which offset his caustic nature.
She's aging, he's ancient but doesn't look it.
She's an egomaniac, he is too but he hides it better.
He had the experience and is a true American Hero, and I dare say, a true patriot.
But...did you hear the speeches tonight? No...did you HEAR them?

Well last night clinched it.
John McCain will be the Republican Presidential Nominee in 2008. That would be fine if Shrillary were going to be the nominee but Hill is very much in the position Huck was in before last night. Not the frontrunner but still with a glimmer of hope. A very faint glimmer. The math is not on her side as was pointed out elsewhere.

Huckabee didn't major in Math and neither do I.
I'm awful at it.
But here are the Delegate Statistics.
In order to avoid a brokered Convention and win the nomination outright, Huckabee would need to win 85% of the remaining Delegates. Ain't gonna happen.
McCain would need to win 44% of the remaining delegates. That could happen.
But then again, Huckabee could also win 56% of the remaining delegates and force a brokered or open convention.

Who'll Stop McCain?
Huckabee AND Romney.
Yes, the men hate each other. Yes Huckabee likes McCain but Huck also wants to be President.
There are quite a few Delegates to be won. Here's the schedule for the next week (or so...Guam stretches it out).
This Saturday (February 9th)
Kansas- 39 Delegates
Louisiana- 47 Delegates
Washington- 40 Delegates.
It would seem Huckabee would have the edge in Kansas and Louisiana while Romney could and should do well in Washington, which is a Caucus.

...and I couldn't possibly be more apathetic.
That's right, I no longer care about the 2008 Presidential race.
Here's why-
I'm pretty sure McCain will be our nominee. This doesn't make me happy...but it makes me happier than say Flip Mitt as our candidate but not nearly as content as I would be with Huck or Fred.
McCain WILL win this race. He's a solid enough conservative with all the credentials to keep us safe in the GWOT.

The attacks against Governor Huckabee, my chosen candidate, have finally gotten to the point where I can no longer post here.
I will not condone such rediculous claims as "Huckabee spoke at so and so's Church so he must believe what that guy believes..." doesn't cut it for me.
Erick I would have expected better from you.
I've been here for a few years now and there is no better place for Conservative discourse but claims that an original supporter of Ronald Reagan who genuinly values Human life, defends the traditional family, and stands up for Republican Principles is a liberal, anti catholic bigot, John Edwards clone, and now is being equated to Ron Paul, are just too much.
