Posted at 6:09pm on Dec. 23, 2007 Why the Drive-By Media Must Continue to Ignore/Stop Fred Thompson

By kerrhome

There are at least three reasons why the drive-by media must continue to ignore Fred Thompson's candidacy that I can see. I'll try to spell them out here, but I'm just a lowly software engineer and a political junky so be gentle:

1. Power - Fred got into this campaign "late" for 2008, but about right if we look back in history. I believe the drive-by media love the idea of all of these politicians fighting it out and spending their money for as long as possible. It's good for business. It keeps the viewers tuned in. If Fred is able to jump into the race in September, he proves that there is no need to start campaigning 10 months earlier. The media like the way thinks are going.

Maybe now we'll start getting to the bottom of these leaks. I'd say it's about time we started to see some progress.

Posted at 10:11pm on Sep. 20, 2006 Little (if any) coverage of protests

By kerrhome

A quick search for "protest" of Google News (9:05 PM CST) by relevance reveals the top protest news is the 3,500 anti-war protesters against Bush. Nothing on the first page for the Iranian President protest of 35,000+ people. How about that?

Go ahead and give the link a try: http://news.google.com/news?q=protest
