Professional author George "Rurik" Mellinger, a fellow Viet Nam vet who stopped just short of a PhD in Russian and Mideastern History after the war, has been kind enough to send me a "Cinco de Mayo gift" in the form of a two-part essay on the illegal aliens situation. The search for an "American entity" with sufficient financial resources
and management experience to run the seaport terminals Dubai Ports World
had proposed to purchase from British company P&O ended Saturday when the
New Jersey branch of La Cosa Nostra, Inc announced it has chosen to
formalize its historical control over the ports in question. According to
corporate mouthpiece Vito Gambinovese, "We decided just owning a few labor
unions and some Senators wasn't meeting our growth needs so we made the
ragheads an offer they couldn't refuse. Nobody moves in on our turf."
After the announcement Sen. Chuck Schumer immediately grabbed the
microphone to announce "I feel much safer now."
