Posted at 4:03pm on Dec. 23, 2005 Mexico admits anti-immigrant stance

By Vryheid

Presidente Fox has now decided to meddle in American politics by threatening the United States over the new immigration reform bill that recently passed the House. Fox said that  the new bill was "shameful" and that "Mexico is not going to bear, it is not going to permit, and it will not allow a stupid thing like this wall." Today however, the Associated Press reports that Mexico already has in place many of the measures it declares 'unjust'.

MEXICO CITY - Mexico's federal Human Rights Commission acknowledged yesterday that the country mistreats many immigrants - mainly Central Americans - and uses some of the same methods on them that it opposes in the United States

...

The bill proposes making illegal entry to the U.S. a felony and enlisting military and local law enforcement to help stop illegal entrants. Officials in Mexico City acknowledged that Mexico already does both.

In fact Mexico's immigration laws are actually much harsh than anything that has been proposed in the U.S. For example:

Article 123 of Mexico's population law states that "foreigners illegally entering the country will be subject to punishment of up to two years in prison" and fines of up to $28,220

I don't disagree with Mexico's immigration policies. They have every right to defend their borders as do we. I just wish they would be a little less hypocritical, and frankly mind their own business.

Posted at 4:40pm on Dec. 6, 2005 British Conservatives Choose New Leader

By Vryheid

As many of you know the British Conservative Party has elected a new leader. I don't know much about him yet but from what I hearing so far, it doesn't look good.  He is quoted in the BBC article as favoring "modern compassionate Conservatism" and saying "we need to stop grumpbling about modern Britain". Sounds like more of the same garbage that has been failing the Tories ever since they idiotically kicked out Thatcher.

Posted at 7:08pm on Nov. 14, 2005 Conservatives at Michigan State Protest in Support of Veterans

By Vryheid

Today at Michigan State University students from the College Republicans and Young Americans for Freedom protested for two hours in front of the campus newspaper, the State News. The protest was a response to an editorial cartoon that appeared on Veterans Day that compared the work of current U.S. soldiers to that of World War II era torture camps. About 25 to 30 protesters showed up and were well received by passers by who gave thumbs up and honked horns. Photos of both the offensive cartoon and the protest are up on Michigan's Smash Left-Wing Scum

Posted at 11:17pm on Nov. 13, 2005 Le Pen Vindicated?

By Vryheid

Thirty years ago when Paris was still French, leaders such as Jean-Marie Le Pen warned that the country's political insanity would lead to disaster. Leftists condemned these warnings as 'fascist propaganda'. They dismissed predictions of the balkanization of western Europe as outrageous. The media echoed in slandering Le Pen and anyone with similar beliefs with every negative name in the book. France ignored Le Pen's warning and is now paying the price. Will America learn from France or will we too continue down the path of national suicide?

From The Telegraph:

Marine Le Pen, his 37-year-old youngest daughter and political heir, told the Sunday Telegraph that her father, one of France's longest serving politicians, had been vindicated

"The Front National predicted and warned this violence would happen 20 years ago. It has been political madness for 30 years since we allowed immigrants to come here as cheap labour at the behest of French bosses," said Miss Le Pen, a mother of three, lawyer, Euro-MP, local councillor and president of the FN's youth wing. "It has been impossible to assimilate these people, simply because there are too many of them. I know of maternelle [infant] schools where there are 18 different nationalities and children who don't even speak French....
