Most humans on this planet understand and accept global warming as a matter of faith, but there are a few heretics and non-believers that feel it is all a bunch of hocus pocus without any tangible proof. I felt this way, until events unfolded last weekend that converted me into a true believer.
I had just loosened up my bow tie and was relaxing to a good cup of coffee when two Army intelligence agents approached me with a proposition. They related a fantastic tale of jackbooted liberals seeking an occult power so great that it would make any government invincible, the Global Thermostat. This device of devastating power would allow whoever possessed it to wield trillions of tax dollars, command mighty hurricanes, and even the ability to submerge the world’s greatest cities under fathoms of water.
Intrigued, I set out to with my trusty bullwhip and pistol (yes, it’s a right) on a grand adventure.

Please! This is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let's not bicker and argue over who killed who. ~ King of Swamp Castle
I know there are many here that have a penchant for all things related to Monty Python and the Holy Grail so I thought I would share this discovery. It simply amazed me that almost every quote I found attributed to the movie sounds as if it was spoken yesterday by the Democrats of today. Look down this list of quotes and just imagine it being said by a defeatocrat, apologist, blamer, or a divider of the modern day Democrat party. Funny when uttered by a comedy troupe, but its very disturbing when I hear the very same things being uttered by some very serious politicians.
I chose the quote above to mirror what I think we will hear being said at their convention this year, but I urge you to look over this list of quotes and make your own correlations. But before you do, check out this hilarious video to get you into the mood (it’s not what you think).

By BooBooKitty
The Department of Homeland Security raised the terrorist alert level to red because they have intercepted increased chatter between known killers that can be best described as mad animals. These communications apparently are originating from backwoods Georgia.
That’s right; we are talking about domestic terrorism. Unlike the jihadists who target our entire Western society these animals are known to go to almost any length, even swimming large bodies of water, to get at a single targeted politician.
Beware Barack Obama, the killer rabbits are coming after you!

By BooBooKitty
Didn’t think it could get any better than watching the Democrat candidates smear each other up and down the keystone state? Well take a look at the latest left-on-left slugfest sponsored by PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
PETA is attacking Al Gore’s dietary habits with a few global warming “facts” of its own. A list of statistics promoting the vegan lifestyle at the aptly named offsetalgore.com concludes that not eating meat is "the single most effective thing" you can do to reduce your climate change impact.
It is a very rare occasion indeed that you will find me in support of a PETA campaign, or as my cats refer to them “those dumpster demons”, because they tend to be focused more on self aggrandizement and silliness than the ethical treatment of animals. But when the dumpster demons attack the Goracle with his own eco-scam, I have a hard time not waving the pom-poms.

By BooBooKitty
The famous oil painting of the founding fathers in Philadelphia by Howard Chandler Christy is best known as Scene at the Signing of the Constitution of the United States. Prompted by past and recent statements made by Democrat candidate Barack Obama, I have decided to lead a movement to rename this historical piece.
Please sign in the comments section below to join the movement in renaming this work of art to:
Scene of Typical White People in Pennsylvania Clinging to Religion and Guns

By BooBooKitty
Victory Defined: Now Let’s See the Definition of Withdrawal
- Short term, Iraq is making steady progress in fighting terrorists, meeting political milestones, building democratic institutions, and standing up security forces.
- Medium term, Iraq is in the lead defeating terrorists and providing its own security, with a fully constitutional government in place, and on its way to achieving its economic potential.
- Longer term, Iraq is peaceful, united, stable, and secure, well integrated into the international community, and a full partner in the global war on terrorism.
Yeah, it’s been around for some time and the opposition may not agree with it, but they can’t say it doesn’t exist… stated in black and white, full public access, and open to criticism. Now I would like to see an equally expansive definition of withdrawal from all those too obtuse or intentionally ignorant individuals carping for President Bush and Senator McCain to “define victory” or to “state the endgame”.
I’ll help by identifying a few key points to cover below the fold…

There has been a trend of growing support for legislation in states such as Vermont, Wisconsin, and South Carolina to lower the drinking age back down to eighteen despite data that suggests that current age limits save lives.
Debate over lowering the drinking age is heating up in several states, fueled in part by legislators who contend that men and women who are old enough to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan are responsible enough to buy alcohol legally. ~ USA Today
This argument seemed eminently sensible to me as I neared my eighteenth year in the mid-80’s. I was devastated as states began raising the drinking age to 21 in response to the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984. As a senior in high school already enlisted in the military; I was aghast at the thought of being old enough to fight yet considered not mature enough to drink. A few years later activated for the first Gulf War and pulled mid-semester from college many of my fellow soldiers found themselves facing overseas wartime deployment, yet denied the right to partake in even a farewell toast. At the time it seemed ridiculous.

Posted at 9:12pm on Mar. 18, 2008 Barack Obama Gave Me Hope Today
By BooBooKitty
Barack Obama gave me hope today. Not the indefinable abstract “hope” of his campaign placards, but more like an epiphanic realization of our country passing an important milestone that I had all but thought impossible in my lifetime. This hope sprang not from the eloquence of his speech or the sincerity of his beliefs (I am impressed by both), but instead from the very reason why Senator Obama had to make this speech in the first place.
Race baiting and implied racism ceased to be a means to an end today, the race card has lost its trump.

Politics is not the art of the possible. It consists in choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable. ~ J K Galbraith
During the course of the primary events I have seen my preferred candidates knocked off one by one; it has been disheartening, and much to my chagrin I find myself searching for something, anything about the remaining candidates that I can glom onto which will raise my spirit and hopes for November. I was reminded of the quote above thinking about our two contenders left, McCain the disastrous and Romney the unpalatable.
Listening to Senator McCain’s victory speech I found myself trying to appreciate his finer points, and he does have quite a few of these. So does Governor Romney for that matter, it is so rare these day for me to think of a politician as intelligent (formidable intelligence in fact with Mr. Romney) rather than just sly like a fox or even plain stupid. But still after all the hustle, bustle, and impassioned speech of the day, I found myself still wishing for a better candidate, another choice, but who is else is running?

By BooBooKitty
This is NOT my Candidate! →
If you could follow my diary recommendations (there’s a 3.0 plug for you Erick) you would see that I have bumped posts supporting at least four different candidates because I think all of our choices have admirable qualities. I have yet though come out and officially endorsed any of the candidates, but I think now the time is right. Really I guess it was back in December when I made my choice, more specifically during the Iowa debate when Fred Thompson refused to beg the liberal media for a juicy fish.
"Standing up here 10 in a row, you know, like a bunch of seals waiting for somebody to throw you the next fish, is not necessarily the best way to impart your information to the American people. I'm not above acting like a seal every once in a while and waiting for the next fish, I just don't want to do it all the time."~Fred Thompson
Fred Thompson became my candidate of choice when he refused to march to the drum of an antogonistic moderator in a show of hands concerning global warming. He's realistic enough to understand that he needs to kiss the babies and put on a dog and pony show for the press, but he seems to be the only one of the group that had the presence of mind to do what was right. Instead of trying to craft an acceptable response that would not run afoul the liberal agenda, Thompson exerted his leadership and took command of the situation (so much that the other candidates FOLLOWED his lead).
