They (liberal energy independence resistance fighters) keep telling us that, even if we started drilling our own resources today... right now, we would not see a drop of oil to show for the effort and expense for at least 3fiveTEN... or more, years.
But now, seeing the shift in public opinions... and seeing John McCain going with the proverbial flow of that increasingly popular current... Barack is feverishly discrediting the very thought of drilling because it won't solve the problem of high gas prices... by THIS SUMMER!

You know, I was just watching... *** ahem*** FOX News (hehehehehe) and I was listening to John McCain reaffirming his pledge to accept Public Funds... aaaaaand listening to Barack Obama, once again, abandoning his promise to Americans that he TOO would accept Public Funds...
And then I got to thinkin'...
I didn't check "The Box" on my tax return...
Damn!
No problem...
I immediately went to my computer and donated a substantial... (and I mean, really big) sum of money to John McCain... and I am now praying to the gods that they find it in the celestial hearts to forgive my gross and almost unforgiveable sin...

Hmmm...
Another person who Barack didn't really know and who didn't work for him... has voluntarily bitten the proverbial dust.
"I would not dream of being a party to distracting attention from that historic effort," he said in a statement. "I believe Barack Obama's candidacy for President of the United States is the most exciting and important of my lifetime."
Awww... And, for the first time in HER life... Michelle is actually proud of her country...

Living here in the Sunshine State can be an unpredictable experience... Particularly this time of year when we are in that beautiful place between an uncomfortable chill and the oppressive hell-fire heat that stirs destructive winds...
I was somewhat concerned... I mean, forecasters predicted a direct hit in my neighborhood this week and that this malevolent presence would hang over my community, wreaking havoc for three damaging days...

Barack Obama has made his thoughts regarding NAFTA quite clear to the American people...
He slashes and bashes the agreement, positioning himself as the Divine Champion of the American worker... Talks about taking a "sledgehammer" to the agreement... wants to "re-negotiate" the terms... (like he wants to sit down and negotiate with terrorists over a nice latte)
Yes... Whether they are his own words... or those of someone else... or even if he's flat out lying... Barack Obama does seem to enjoy talking...

While watching television this weekend, I saw the image of a pair of poor (and clearly doomed) polar bears stranded (obviously, as polar bears, as we all know... are deathly afraid of water and cannot swim)clinging precariously to a tiny... shrinking chip of thinning ice somewhere in the middle of the endless, frigid waters of the Arctic...
The actress, whose somber face and equally gloomy voice revealed this horrible news, was unfamiliar to me... But she must have been important... and quite learned in the subject of polar bear extinction else she would not have been scaring the b-jesus out of little kids with this commercial... telling us in her best convincing manner that polar bears were going to vanish from the planet... (like right now, probably by time the commercial was over even...)
