By Mark Kilmer
One of the most vocal -- and not entirely subtle -- advocates of bigger government and higher taxes. one Tim Russert, spent part of this morning stumping for Senator Joe Lieberman (D-Connecticut). On the air.
Talking to Jimmy Dean, Howard's brother and a Ned fan, and Joe-mentum advisor Lanny Davis, Russert painted Ned as a clueless suit with a lot of money, controlled by a left wing who promised him a Senate seat.

Today is a somber anniversary--51 years ago, an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Was it the right call? The debate rages on and I think honest folks can disagree on this in good faith--I for one think arguing of the position that it was wrong, at least in terms of proposing what 1945-50 might have looked like for the US had Truman decided otherwise, is a tough road. But, as I said, it's is a topic open for debate.

From Saturday's gaggle in Crawford:
Q: Tony, Senator Clinton is calling on Secretary Rumsfeld to resign. Is there any change in the President's position that he's the best man for that job?
MR. SNOW: No.
Tony's answer is beautiful in it's simplcity. Better luck next time, Mrs. Clinton.
