Kofi Annan Leaves. Israel & America Still Exist Despite His Best Efforts

Kofi Annan has never done anything well, unless you count marrying his wife. His family has benefitted from the corrupt culture of the United Nations, he has personally benefited from that same corruption, and his tenure at the United Nations has seen scandal, rape, and failure. Yet, today, he will feel so bold as to go to the Truman Library and attack American foreign policy.
Annan's remarks, provided to USA TODAY by his office, list principles for international relations, among them "respect for human rights and the rule of law."
These ideas can be advanced only "if America remains true to its principles, including in the struggle against terrorism," the speech says. "When it appears to abandon its own ideals and objectives, its friends abroad are naturally troubled and confused."
Let's not mince words about Kofi Annan.
Read on . . .
During his tenure at the United Nations, Kofi Annan gave tacit approval to a host of anti-semetic initiates designed to wipe Israel from the map. He oversaw initiatives designed to undercut western economies in the name of "global warming" while propping up third world despots.
Kofi Annan also oversaw the U.N. oil-for-food program that saw $1.5 billion in kickbacks to Saddam Hussein and lingering questions about kickbacks personally to Annan's family.
Then, of course, there were the mass rapings of children in Africa by U.N. Peace Keepers that Kofi sought to cover up. Kofi Annan came to power expecting to be an international power broker. Instead he saw a new American administration that recognized the uselessness of the U.N. bureaucracy and an inept Secretary-General. And he reacted bitterly.
As Senator Norm Coleman said, "Annan's legacy will be one of missed opportunity and failed leadership."
Amen to that and good riddance.

This generally leads to disappointment. I doubt I'll ever forget the magazine cover entitled "Saint Hillary." I hate it when propaganda is too subtle for my warped-VRWC mind.
2006 is done, 2008 is another day and another fight
but other than that quibble I totally agree.
The UN is a pretty useless organization, and Anan one of the more useless within it.
What do you get when you elevate a 3rd World Kleptocrat with the ideology of a socialist and the moral fortitude of a common thief?
Exactly what you'd expect.
10 years of world class graft, corruption, murder, mayhem and anti-American propaganda meant to undermine the underpinnings of Western society and the non-stop attack on the true achievers in order to prop-up the losers' self esteem.
I feel soooo much better now that a S. Korean will be in charge because they certainly know how to deal with raving warmongers who threaten 'world peace'.
The South Koreans haven't been doing too great lately...

I know that Bill Clinton wants to be Secretary-General, but since permanent members of the Security Council, by tradition, don't have someone on the Security Council, I think that the next time it comes time for our region of the world to have someone be the Secretary-General, we should aggressively promote Stephen Harper.

and have crooked done right. Kofi is a third world weasel and the UN should be bulldozed into the river.
Envisioning when all that is Left is the Right.

When I was a junior in college, back in 2000, I remember reading an article in either Time or Newsweek that focused on Kofi Annan as the Secretary-General at the UN, he was even on the cover. The article was basically an introduction to the man and what he hoped to accomplish as head of the UN, but the thing I remember most about that article was the glowing image the article portrayed on Annan and I could almost hear whisperings of FDR, Lincoln, Churchill, as it seemed he would be the man who changed the world, he was going to reform the UN, solve every crisis in the world, end poverty and hunger and blah blah blah. An article so full of hope and now it ends in ignominy, ineptitude and dishonor. Here's hoping that Ban Ki-moon does a better job, but I'm not holding my breath.
