Today's a day of magic and mystery! And popcorn!

Yesterday was the deadline for Speaker Nancy Pelosi to start impeachment proceedings, or else face Cindy Sheehan's self-righteous electoral wrath!
Let's look at the threat - after we examine this statement, of course:
I was a lifelong Democrat only because the choices were limited. The Democrats are the party of slavery and were the party that started every war in the 20th century, except the other Bush debacle. The Federal Reserve, permanent federal income taxes, not one but two World Wars, Japanese concentration camps, and not one but two atom bombs dropped on the innocent citizens of Japan -- all brought to us via the Democrats.
I can't wait to have this reconciled with the "absolute moral authority" thing. Actually, I had better wait, because I have no choice: there are two chances that we're going to see the Left 'sphere come out and say "Shoot, you guys were right. That lady was crazy all along." Fat, and slim.
Thank you, I'm here all week! Tip your waiter!
Or, you could read on.
Getting back to Ms. No-idea-what's-in-store-for-her:
I have nothing personally against Pelosi and have found our previous interactions very pleasant. However, being "against" the occupation of Iraq means ending it by ending the funding, preventing future illegal wars of aggression and holding BushCo accountable. Words have to be backed up by action, and if they aren't, they are as empty as Vice President Dick Cheney's conscience.
If Pelosi does her constitutional and moral duty by Monday, then I believe some balance will be restored to the universe, and my organization, People for Humanity, can carry on with its humanitarian projects. If she doesn't, we will carry on anyway, with a political campaign to boot.
That deadline was yesterday, so today's the day. I'd like to note two things: one, you may not have anything personal against Speaker Pelosi, but she now has something personal against you. Nobody told you that you could have an opinion contrary to the current needs of the Democratic Party. In fact, nobody told you that you could have an independent opinion at all. You were created strictly to be a weapon to be directed against the Bush administration, and no sane person permits weapons to have their own agenda. Put another way: your attempts to rise above your station will be seen as a personal affront to Nancy Pelosi: if she wanted you to matter more, she would have arranged matters accordingly.
Two: no, really, you have no idea what's in store for you? Brian of Conservative Times sums it up best, I think:
Mark my words, this woman is in for a year of pure hell. If she thought we on the right were being hard on her, just wait until she faces what her former allies of the far left have in store for her. Gonna be vicious.
See also Ace, Allah, Rusty (with a reminder of an old statement that Ms. Sheehan might as well stop denying), and Claire of SondraKiStan, USA. I imagine that there'll be others getting out the popcorn, mind you.

I thought the Germans started the two big wars of the 20th Century. Who knew they were Democrats?!
Pelosi gets Bush and Cheney impeached. Harry sets it up so they get convicted the same day. Pelosi takes over as President. Sheehan gets appointed to Pelosi's former seat. Voila!
As well as the bombing of "innocent" Japanese citizens, better we should have landed thousands of US & British troops on Japanese soil to fight and die. Wonder what Casey would think about that.
As the saying goes "what goes around comes around". After Nanking, the Philippines, slave labor, years of torture and murder of civilians in China, the savagery of the POW camps, Malaya and the Dutch East Indies, I will try and squeeze out a tear for the Japanese civilians. Give me time.
Odd she doesn't say anything about German civilians, but then they were all Nazi's, like Bush.
If the woman had a brain she could walk a straight line, her natural home is the Democratic party, stop knocking them Cindy.

Germany never attacked us, so we didn't have to send any of our troops to die in Europe.
Even if Japan would have attacked Pearl Harbor had we not displayed such aggression in Europe, we still wouldn't have to go to war with them. First we would have tried to understand what made them hate us so we could fix that at our end. If that didn't work we'd have held talks to avoid war - you know, give peace a chance.
At least that's how it appears today's Democrats would have handled things 65-70 years ago.
Although I completely disagree with her and I find her to be extremely misguided, she is far more principled than her former puppetmasters in the Democrat party. It's quite amusing to see how they immediately turn on her once she strays off the reservation.

And give Sheehan credit here as well: she knows the Democratic Party used her. I hope she never goes away and lands a cable news talk show.
Each of us should send "Mom" $5.00
really... let her make a race out of it. Let's see just how many real nuts there are in that district.
anyway any day Nancy isn't in Washington...
the Democratic Party put out for public consumption by the mother with the ultimate authority to know:-) I love that she can see the truth about those who built her up and spit her out for what they really are however it is to late for Ms. Sheehan she is now yesterday's news to the liberal loving MSM.

There was a similar gathering at Hillary's new SF HQ. The writeup about it is much funnier than the video. Warning: These are R-rated as well.
Oh! My eyes!!
Nothing I haven't seen before, only considerably perkier.
