Ipso: It is ok for Ann to say she can't comment on a sitting public servant John Edwards because she can't say F[****]T.
Facto: Then you will agree that this statement is also ok, since it is done in jest and good clean fun:
"I would like to comment on president George Bush but if you use the word F[****]T you have to go to rehab".
Not quite as funny is it.
I mean, you could have saved that account for anything: and you waste it emulating Ann Coulter.
Tsk, tsk, blipping tsk.
Now shoo.
The Fuzzy Puppy of the VRWC.
Heck, even I'll laugh at some Bush jokes, so who really cares? (BTW, that REALLY drives liberals up a wall... you joke about their guys, they then joke about yours, and then you laugh at their jokes)
In response to the parent post of this branch, simply put, had that been the original statement, it would've been mildly funny. Would have left many of us scratching our heads (as putting "Bush" and "gay" together is a bit of a stretch, unless you're talking about the President's opposition to gay marriage), but, when done as an homage to an only mildly funny original joke, it falls flat, if not infuriating those on this site who have been in staunch opposition to Ms. Coulter's remarks.
"I could explain, but that would be very long, very convoluted, and make you look very stupid. Nobody wants that... except maybe me."
Welcome back, Bill. Just get parole?
I should hope that f***** is not the type of "lingo" you have to use these days to communicate with college students. If so, I wonder what words you have to use with high school dropouts.
I think that it's absolutely hilarious that every broadcast has aired Ann Coulter's remarks without bleaping them, serious newspapers are using the word, and yet here on RedState we have to use little astrisks to bleap out letters.
I mean, I got temporarily BANNED for using a word that has been all over television without being edited and printed in newsprint for millions of people to read.
It's just stupid.
So we should lower the standards on this site to match the MSM? That makes such sense. It's an offensive word, don't you agree?
Well, if you don't think that word is offensive I don't have much use for you. I think it's way overkill to send someone to rehab over it. Words have meaning and context.
are used to further debate or merely to offend or hurt. Most people that feign shock or outrage over words are just out to bludgeon the people they are debating. Like small children going to mommy saying "He said a bad word"

should just cease, from both sides unless it's on a comedy show. The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Red Eye, The 1/2 Hour News Hour etc, or by stand up comics. There really isn't any cause for it during a convention, a news show, debate etc.
The feigned anger with Ann has nothing do to with name calling. It has everything to do with the usage of a word that has became politically correct (I am not sure when it became PC I do not get those memos). Does anyone seriously believe that she would have received this kind of backlash if she would have called him a non-politically correct name? If she called him a jerk, liar, scum-bag, wind-bag, ambulance chaser, evil doer, demagogue, idiot, a big meanie, or even a "giant dumb dumb head" no one would have commented on it.
...a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right...
