You're a mean one, *Mister* Reid.

You *do* have termites in your smile, don't you?

No cute text, for once.

I completely missed this in my first reading of Harry Reid's cowardly refusal to either fund our troops properly, or else face a showdown once and for all:

The Pentagon confirms the military will not run out of money until mid February, after which all Army bases would cease operations.

But Defense Secretary Robert Gates said this week that without the money now, drastic steps would have to be taken in anticipation of the shutdown, including plans to freeze contracts and to furlough about 100,000 government employees.

Notices to some union employees would start going out in mid-December, he said.

I'm the son of a good union man (railroad). For that matter, I'm the grandson and great-grandson of good union men, too: so I have no compulsions against saying that this is an affront. I know what it's like to be in a situation where somebody has to sit the family down and gently explain that Christmas is going to be just a little lean this year. It's bad enough when you have to do it because the union took you out on strike in order to get a fair shake from management; it's ten, twenty times worse when it's because of politics.

I know that you don't give a damn about the troops, Harry Reid: but even for the Democrats, this is low. These unions are some of your most loyal supporters; they pay for your Party's activities. And this is how you repay them? By taking away their Christmas? For what? Whatever extra cash you can shake down from the antiwar movement? Wasn't wrecking thousands of staffers' Thanksgiving plans enough for you?

You vile, petty, little wretch of a man.

This is not only petty, not only cheap, but also Stoopid. Profoundly stoopid. Reid will responsibly redeploy from this one in the next 3 days.

Perdue is the governor of Georgia, and also a line of chicken products.

Purdue is a Big Ten University in the state of Indiana, has graduated a lot of astronauts and was so calm in the 1960s that it was known as a hotbed of student rest.

The commies have made sure that in 2007 they're well-placed in the Heartland of America. In fact, because Indiana was so quiescent during the '60s it became a magnet for professors who wanted to change it. Visit Butler University some time, esp. the Psychology department. Trust me, Indiana is a hotbed of student angst n' atheism now, too.

Usually, when I'm looking for something positive to say about a complete jackass, I can at least say that his mother probably loved him. In Harry Reid's case, I doubt even that.

I come from a family of union people, belonged to one myself, and even worked for the USWA for a few years. Harry Reid, you are a little man, and I hope all of the Unions remember what you are doing to their members. I hope they are as outraged as I am.

the change of power that is coming next year.
Living in their bubbles, they forget that their popularity is less than that of the President.
They are making people miss Tom Delay.
They are insuring a Republican majority next year.
Frankly I think the Grinch does not deserve to be comapred to Reid - afterall, when confronted with his wickedness, he reformed and made good.
Reid does not have that capacity.

I have always thought the American people were pretty smart. But when I see those groups of people like the ones that were in Vegas last night and here the kinds of things that they cheer for and the kinds of idiotic questions they ask, I think maybe I'm the one that is out of touch.

I think maybe America has grown soft and the Dems are going to be the beneficiaries.

Dingy's approval is so low in Nevada he is probably looking at the Daschle express bus as his last ride. So he has decided to be an a--Hole. But what I don't think the Democrats understand is how many people are paying attention to these people who are acting like 5 year olds instead of adults. With an 11% approval, someone must be paying attention.

The media will only be able to keep the victory away from the public for so long -- March when Gen Petraeus testifies is the end of the line.

Reid's schwarmy little attempt to take credit for Rush's fund raising letter posted on Ebay pretty well encapsulates Harry's fraud. $4,000,000 raised for the Marines families and Reid tries to send people to www.reid whatever. He is a vile little cowardly man indeed.

...terpidity of the Democratic Party is self evident.

Comparing Reid to the Grinch presumes he has a heart and Reid does not. A more apt comparison would be combining the "Oz" scarecrow's head and an invertebrate body, sans circulatory system.

While the troops have better things to do such as polishing off the enemy and continuing winning this war, they know what's going on (thanks for the distraction Harry). I wish some portions of my mail could be reprinted; but that would get me banned.

Note to Harry's staffers; you might want to take Iraq off the list of places to visit.

While they lacked certain qualities they had no shortage of desire for them. Reid, Pelosi et al are not on the road towards gaining character they are running away from character full tilt.

Actually, that’s why I never liked the “Land of Oz” as a metaphor for this type of circus Joli. Things actually got better in the end. Thanks for reminding me.

I bet this little guy has more backbone than Reid.

Uh oh, here comes Dobson….

Sorry Moe; it's Friday, I just got home and am a little punchy.

Reid makes Daschle look like a great stateman.

Though he probably won't be seeing another term after this disasterous stint as majority leader, he is clearly a perfect example of a bought senator - so beholding to George Soros and the MoveOn crowd, he can't run into the arms of defeat fast enough. Americans don't like losers. Harry is a loser - a sore loser.
The %#$%# is going to hit the fan over this. The unions aren't going to sit still for this. He's enraging a large portion of his base - perfect.
Liberals read Marx. Conservatives understand Marx.
