Communist Party USA Using Democrats To Advance Key Party Platform

You know what one of the major platforms of the Communist Party USA is? Support for the Orwellian named Employee Free Choice Act.
Just as Communists believe you should be entitled to vote for anyone, so long as they are communist, they also believe that you should be entitled to vote in secret, so long as they know exactly how you voted — it's the ultimate intimidation tactic and it stands in direct contravention of American democracy.
You know who else supports this communist platform plank? The Democrats in Congress.
Despite demands for secret elections across the United States, the Democrats in Congress are pushing Communist Party USA backed legislation that would require employees to disclose whether they voted for or against joining a union.
You think Union intimidation is a thing of the past? Consider this:
Thousands of unfair labor practices cases have been filed against unions since 2000, including 1,417 for coercive statements, 416 for violence and assaults, 546 for harassment, and 1,325 for threatening statements.
You still think it is no big deal? Then answer these two questions:
Why shouldn't we make voters' picks in local, state, and federal elections a matter of open record? Why should voting on unionization be treated differently?

that if you look at CPUSA's agenda and replace "Communist Party" with "Democratic Party" you'd hardly know it didn't come from the Dems.

But the communist party misses the growing inequity in America. The gap between rich and poor was never just about money. That gap, just as much as the income gap itself, is growing steadily.
For those of us who wait in security checkpoints, knowing the sham that they are, it is downright maddening.
since at lest the 60's, why? They are worst then the mafia as far as I am concerned and I hope the President keeps his word and veto's this bill when it comes to his desk.
They're pretty much one in the same ... remember Jimmy Hoffa?

The truth is, the more you tax profits, the more you undermine the American work ethic and the incentive structure that goes along with it. In fact, you demoralize the very system that has made this country great.
Erick,
Once the Democrats have established the principal that secret elections can be abolished, with unions, they will seek to extend that to elections for public office.
The Democratic Party is an enemy of freedom.
I've always considered the secret ballot to be the refuge of a coward--what kind of gutless turd needs to hide his vote from everyone else?
Teamster's reviewing their votes? Or the Nazi's, or any other system where "open voting" includes thugs who will use force to enforce compliance with their choice?
Or perhaps you thought it was OK for Saddam to get 100% of the vote when his secret police enforced his "open voting"?
It's an intimidation tactic.
Socialism doesn't work. It looks nice on paper, but it's been tried and it's failed miserably every time (usually accompanied by widespread death and suffering).

Last time I checked, the stuff you mention was illegal in the US. Why would an open election make any difference? It seems to me like you are more paranoid than anything.
Besides, everyone here is focusing on a tiny aspect of a much larger bill. It's a classic case of throwing the baby out with the bath water.
...and intimidation of people that cross picket lines.
But that never happens, right?

Checks on power are the core of liberty. Don't think for a second that power won't stick it to you if it has the chance.
whose political thinkers maintain that if he does something, it cannot be wrong, because he is president.
For the past fifty years, every elected Republican executive has had at least one of his cronies convicted. And you think Clinton had problems?!?

Can't stay away, huh? Well, easily fixed.
