Eric Cantor's Awesome Adventure

Rep. Eric Cantor (R.-Va.) is known for his creative and innovative ideas, bringing us such things at the Solutions Factory, which allows users to offer their suggestions about ways to improve government. His latest project, an interactive filmed called the "Carried Interest Adventure," is unlike anything I've seen before from a member of Congress.

With House Ways and Means Chairman Charlie Rangel (D.-N.Y.) holding a hearing today on "tax fairness," Cantor's project couldn't come at a better time. As Rangel rails about the need to tax more Americans, Cantor's staff explains in an easy-to-understand way why it's a bad idea to tax private equity partnerships.

The interactive video allows users to make their way through a Washington maze until they are victorious -- finding the culprits behind the tax hike. Whether you're interested in the issue or not, it's worth your time to check it out.

Frankly, that's the point of the whole exercise. "To our knowledge, nobody in politics has done anything like this before, but we believe that people will enjoy it and hopefully learn about the importance of the carried interest debate that is happening today on the Hill," said Matt Lira, Cantor's deputy communications director.

“.....women and minorities hardest hit”

I am one of the privileged few to have a congressman that I can really be proud of. It would be nice to be proud of a Senator as well, instead of (gag) Webb.

Although Gilmore is my runner up.

Stay in your house seat, Tom Davis.
