"Is American Samoa Exempt?" (Must See TV)

I have some hope in the House GOP to not be too shell shocked in the minority as to avoid wrecking havoc, especially watching this:
I guess viewing this is in the eye of the beholder. The lefties think Frank got the upper hand. I beg to differ. After all, there was a purpose to what Patrick McHenry was doing. And he put Frank right where he wanted him.

He looked like some old mad sub-teacher. Great stuff.
"I think the fence is least effective. But I'll build the god--d fence if they want it."--McCain
"I would rather have a clean government than one where quote First Amendment rights are being respected" --McCain
I think it's disingenuous to exempt Samoa without a good enough reason -- eliminating slavery and corruption in N Mariana is a good thing to do, I think, but it's not a good thing to be making exceptions for friendly leaderships. However, it's the height of disrespect to misuse parliamentary procedure and ignore the chair when the chair is telling him that that was not the time for substantive debate. I think it's perfectly fine to be confused about parliamentary procedure barely a week into Congress -- I know I know next to nothing about it, myself -- but intentionally debating the substance when only rules debates are in order is disrespectful to Congress.
Given that, I applaud this wonderful community for bringing this hypocrisy to prominence. I'm a moral progressive non-citizen (so I'm not a Democrat), but now that the Democrats are in power in Congress, I'm here as often as I can be to keep a critical eye on those who will be held responsible and will be remembered in spite of themselves.
So they ticked off Rep. Barney Frank.
Which means what in the long run?
Okay, I'd be willing to bet someone 5 bucks that those guys got circled up outside the House chamber, and, as boys will be boys, said, "Hey, let's go in and ruffle Frank's feathers up."
Haha. Rep. McHenry is a neat guy.
In a world full of twists and turns, the ultimate twist...is a straight line.
I kept expecting Henry Hyde to step to the microphone and plesantly beat Barney about the head and shoulders.
But **** that was funny.
"No compromise with the main purpose, no peace till victory, no pact with unrepentant wrong." - Winston Churchill
... And I think the Gentleman from Massachusetts Mr. Frank is a fracking emberassment. As Larry the Cable Guy says, whooo-eee, I don't care who y'are, that's funny right there.
Perhaps the strategy is to incapacitate Barney Frank and all other Democrats by giving them brain infarctions, thus permitting the seizing of control of the House.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. - Alan Greenspan
OK that settles it, Republicans need to find someone to appoint as the designated Rights's loon, replacing Barney in his old role as the Left's loon in Congress.
Find someone with a hearing problem or someone who is just thick and does not care. I'd love to see more of the Barney show as he slowly spins.
If Traficant was not in jail, someone as obtuse as he was would be perfect.

Another South Park Republican spouting off !
I've done that before, not on the floor of Congress, but to a substitute biology teacher. It was pretty funny; there were 4 of us, and it went round and round for about 10 minutes.
As far as McHenry goes, I just like the way he says "American Samoa". Unfortunately, my dial-up will only let me get to :47 out of 4:07. Is the transcript on the THOMAS site up yet?
really.... what are we paying these geniuses for?
lets get on with the the People's business instead of throwing spitwads and sticking "kick me" signs on people's backs.

I'd rather the Congress mess with spitwads instead of getting into the people's business, myself.
Run like Reagan!

This is one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time! Barney Frank is the picture of an inept substitute teacher being tortured by a couple of bright high school kids. I now have hope for this session of Congress.
