Rep. Mike Pence, who posted on RedState earlier in defense of Rush Limbaugh, was also on Fox News today explaining why the attacks on Limbaugh are a precursor to the Democrats' attempt to bring back the Fairness Doctrine. Fortunately for Americans who value freedom, Pence and Rep. Greg Walden are championing the Broadcaster Freedom Act, legislation that would prevent reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine by the FCC.

They can't do anything of substance aimed at one citizen though, sending it to the President or anything.
But these are cheap, pointless words.

I understand that it is cheap points, but for the weight of the U.S. Senate to be used against a private citizen should be prohibited!

I wrote a piece entitled The Chum is in the Water. I said then, that if the left was successful in taking down Imus they would be coming for all conservative talk show hosts!
Sharks, you see, do not stop feeding when the chum has been consumed. Once the sharks have been whipped up into a feeding frenzy, they will eat anything in the water...and make no mistake, conservative talk radio is swimming in deep water.
Once the sharks decide that they can take down anyone who strays from the PC straight and narrow, no place will be safe to swim! I hesitate to counsel support for the man, however there is that conservative principle, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" usually attributed to Voltaire.
If Imus receives the boot, every talk show host, radio and television, will be a target, and under the closest scrutiny you have ever seen. To paraphrase a great American of the left, "A chill wind is blowing in this nation." There is a principle here; something about freedom of speech.
And then again there is the principle that you don't feed the sharks unless you are prepared to be eaten!
Attention all voters - don't fall for this one!
I would be hoping this 'issue' is enough to placate the demoshep long enough for them to forget that the democrats have done literally nothing since winning office.

to be formally condemning a private citizen? In a way, I am enjoying their ludicrous actions as they only portray the Democrats (especially the leadership) as controlled by leftist loonies. May they continue to shoot themselves in both feet!
