Shame! Shame! Shame! Shame!

A nice little kerfluffle in the House

During a series of two minute votes in the House of Representatives today, the Democrat overlords kept the vote open a wee bit longer than is allowed by House rules, in order to lobby a few members to change their votes -- thus getting the result that they wanted.

The Democrats claimed that there was no actual voting taking place after the time limit; they were simply having problems counting the votes.

Yeah. The problem was, they weren't counting enough votes in favor of what they wanted -- so they kept the vote open until enough folks had toed the line.

Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA) called them on the carpet for this, taking them to task on the floor of the House. As the Democrats attempted to gloss over their impropriety and move business along in the chamber, the GOP delegation broke into a chant of "Shame! Shame! Shame! Shame!"

The video is below.

The last Congress had a number of examples of votes held open long past what House rules prescribed.

That said, what the Democrats have done is to surrender their high ground on this issue by behaving in kind. The difference, though, is that the Democrats are denying that they raan over.

Dems, if you're going to play crooked, at least be honest about playing crooked.

And Rightly So!

didn't promise tit for tat.

So while you might say the GOP is getting some bad karma back, the Democrats are turning themselves into a bunch of liars, and the smart GOP house candidate is going to start working on the ads right now quoting the promises and the lack of follow through and using the democrats own words against them.

That was why "The Hammer" had to go. They were going to be DIFFERENT, you see.

Run like Reagan!

each and every time the Dems do idiotic stuff whether in the Senate or the House there is potential for a great campaign video, so I encourage them to keep it up:)

In the most ethical Congress ever. Also the lowest rated in the history of Gallup polling. But the media doesn't notice, they are too busy trying to save their own sinking fortunes.

Look at it this way, by the time the 2008 elections come around, the Democrat's parrot media may be gasping it's last.

Talk radio is new virgin ground for Liberals and Republicans alike. Someone might ask you a real question and expect an answer.

Hey, this isn't surprising out of the Dems in the least. If they don't get the results that they want during the proscribed voting--and counting--period, they keep counting past legal limits.

After all, four vote counts wasn't enough in Florida. They wanted to keep counting until they could flip the outcome.

I just hope our populace sees the lies and attempts to parse their alleged "promises".

Democrats approved a rule which says "A record vote by electronic device shall not be held open for the sole purpose of reversing the outcome of such vote." This was said to be a response to Republican tactics and part of their attempt to "clean up" government.

They continue to prove themselves dishonest politicians, whom have no interest consistent with the citizens of this country.

Shame, indeed!
