The Culture of Corruption (D-CA) Smells Like Tuna

So America's mother-in-law, her surrendercrats, and about 80 spineless Republicans passed the "Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007." It will increase the federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 an hour over the next two years.
But, the law exempts American Samoa -- a territory that would become the only U.S. territory not subject to the minimum wage law.
Why?
Well, StarKist Tuna owns one of the two tuna packing plants on the island. Together, those plants employ more than 5,000 Samoans, or nearly 75% of the workforce on the island.
According to the Washington Times, "StarKist's parent company, Del Monte Corp., is headquartered in San Francisco, which is represented by Mrs. Pelosi."

the justification from the democrats on this one.
Hopefully a GOP senator will insist on inserting that American Samoa be included in the hike on principal.
Only the best get to be Starkist, but Starkist workers won't get the best wages.
Where is it in the text of the bill? I haven't seen what's been transferred to the Senate but the two versions listed on the House website have no mention of an exception for American Samoa. The only territory it refers to is the Northern Mariana Islands, and that's to force the Marianas to have a minimum wage.
The Republicans should demand Samoa to be included in the Minimun Wage Hike, what would they have to lose.
It would be a great teaching tool for the American people to see the entire island become unemployed because of Liberal "Compassion."
Everytime someone proposes raising the minimum wage, conservatives would have a great example to point to if Samoa's entire economy collapses.

Many of us have wonderful mothers-in-law. She is clearly America's shrewish ex-wife. We'll just call her The Craw for short.
I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An elephant's faithful 100 percent.
....is a lot like Pelosi's socialist [nether regions]...it just doesn't pass the smell test
And you'll be gone. Sorry, that's just not acceptable. We try to be more family friendly than the moonbats.

This should be not suprise. Who is the benifactor? The Dems of coarse. What ethics reform?
