As you know by now, MoveOn.org has taken out an ad in the New York Times calling General Petraeus "General Betray Us" arguing he has cooked the books on behalf of the White House.
We need you, dear RedState Readers, to do some homework for us.
Here is a list of vulnerable Democrats. Call them and get their comments on MoveOn.org's ad campaign. Put their response in the comments.
Call 202-224-3121. Ask the Representative if he or she stands with MoveOn.org in its assesment of General Petraeus as cooking the books for the White House. If they say no, ask if they condemn MoveOn.org calling General Petraeus "General Betray Us."

They don't know if he's seen the ad. They hadn't heard of the ad. They have no clue what his position will be on the ad, assuming he will have one.

...agrees with Moveon.org in principle, wouldn't use that language, but won't condemn them for using it, either.

Have not yet checked in today. Nobody seems to know where either is at, or have seen the ad in the NYT.
I want to know who in the House or the Senate is going to denounce Moveon.org on the floor? Who will stand up and get a "vote" on who supports this Anti America group? Who will stand up for the General and his soldiers and call Moveon.org (and Code Pink)what they are...coward's? Who can we turn to? Who is going to speak on behalf of the soldiers. Who has the backbone and the "johnson's" to pull the closet haters of our soldiers out from the closet so the American people know who they are? Who is that person? That person needs to STAND UP TALL NOW!!!

I called his office here in DC. The response I got was that "the Congressman hasn't issued a statement regarding that and I wouldn't want to speak for him." I asked the intern (I'm guessing) to pass along that I would like for Congressman Boswell to at least go into the hearing with an open mind. The intern said he would pass it along.
In my opinion, what happens during and after Gen Petreaus'/Ambassador Crocker testimony is what is important here.
The intern that answered the phone didn't know what add I was talking about (2:30pm) He said the congressman was on his way back to DC and no-one in the DC office had discussed any add with him.
Carol Shea-Porter of NH - 1 should be on that list, she is a leftist is the more conservative NH district and just barely won last time. She is more left than Hodes.
His office claims to have no idea where he stands on either question.
