*Cyndi Lauper* Made the Filthy Fifteen?
...OK, yeah, I guess that "She Bop" really was about female masturbation.

I didn't get out much, clearly.
What? Oh, just going over Reason's little discussion (WARNING: IF YOU CLICK THIS LINK YOU WILL SEE A CLOSEUP OF PRINCE'S ARMPIT. BE PREPARED.) on how Al & Tipper Gore are so much more down with pop music now that they need to kiss up to the industry in order to promote their religious agenda (H/T: Glenn).
Excuse me: "Now that they've decided to reach out to the rising stars of the music industry in order to tackle the problem of global warming." People get so touchy when it comes to these sorts of faith-based initiatives.
Read on, after this Youtube video that I had to look up after reading the Reason comments:
I'm not sure, but I think that that's Jonah Goldberg there playing the accordion. I didn't know that he was in Wall of Voodoo.
So, I know what you're asking: "Moe, was there any real point to this, aside from front-paging a video of Mexican Radio?"
Well... "I wish I was in Tijuana / eating barbecued iguana" is a great line, but yeah, there is a point: will someone go out and medicate this poor SOB, already? I know that he's a former Vice President, but the PMRC was the last thing of consequence that Gore hadn't contradicted himself on by now. Believe me, we've been keeping track: first from an assumption that he was going to try again in 2004, and then because we just couldn't stop watching his steady spiral down into the land of Candy Mountain and the Magical Leopluradon*.
So, for the love of God: pharm this guy out, already.
And now, a video of Van Halen's Hot For Teacher:
Mostly because it was absolutely robbed when it came to making the Filthy Fifteen. "In My House" was worse? Exactly! You have to look it up.

I was really impressed when he said "I'm a conservative!"
Socialism doesn't work. It looks nice on paper, but it's been tried and it's failed miserably every time (usually accompanied by widespread death and suffering).
Proud member of the V.R.W.C.
I'm just amused that they cited Black Sabbath not for being occult but for sex and drugs.

Where's Dee Dee Snyder and everone else who testified at those Senate hearings back in PMRC days?
BTW, here's a long but hilarious gem from 1986:
