A Proposed United Nations Resolution

The General Assembly,

Noting with interest the American tendency to drive SUV's,

Aware that Americans like to eat until they feel full in their bellies,

Cognizant of the fact that Americans like to feel warm in their own houses,

Hereby declares as follows:

  1. Americans will be able to drive SUV's without having to seek the permission of foreign countries, international non-governmental organizations or the United Nations.
  2. Americans will be able to eat to their bellies' content without requiring the indulgence of foreign countries, international non-governmental organizations or the United Nations.
  3. Americans will be allowed to set their home thermostats so that they feel sufficiently toasty without having to go about creating an international coalition that consists of foreign countries, international non-governmental organizations or specific United Nations resolutions that back the ability of individual Americans to feel nice, snug and warm in their own homes.

We had better go about getting this resolution adopted quickly. The next Administration may not support such far-reaching proposals, after all.

Absolutely necessary resolution otherwise the Obama administration would need a UN resolution to tell us what we could do.

Imagine the confusion when ordering at McDonald's as each country around the world had input into what a consumer could order. The combinations would number in the thousands as consumers would have to decide which country to make happy with the order.

Now exactly what part of American freedom requires that I make the people of other nations "happy". Happy meals must be the preferred decision. Aren't those toys usually plastic? There goes the happy.

Of course most of the rest of the world hates us! That's what being one of the best does, it makes you hated. And, I am okay with that, I would rather be a strong hated country than a weak liked country.
When you give people freedom of choice, it is amazing what happens. Less taxes on people means them giving more to charity. Charitable organizations can be created, then come out and provide people with helpful information on what individuals can do to help the planet. I do PLENTY as an individual for the beautiful planet Earth, but you start regulating me, especially as apologies to other countries, I don't think so.

In fact, with the 2nd and third points.

In certain parts of the USA, OUR government is already telling us what we can and can't eat and what temp to set our thermostats at. Foreign governments don't Need to weigh in. Their work is done.

Did they remember to blame Isreal for:

A: Global Warming

B: Fat Americans

C: World Starvation?

just need to make sure the people at the UN haven't gone completely nuts and given up the "Damn Isreal" direction of law
