ACORN -- the activist group that is largely communist, has admitted that it is supporting Claire McCaskill. The problem is that ACORN is not allowed to participate in political activities.
They've been caught on tape.

I think Achance has expressed approbation for Alinsky's work, albeit in the same manner McClellan might have praised Lee's General Order #191.
I'm sorry I missed his analysis, then.

the modern Democrat, you need to read "Rules for Radicals." it is the playbook for the Party, the unions, and the interest groups. Read the book, read the play, and call the defense. Ain't hard!
In Vino Veritas
I know they drew ire a while back for requesting a minimum wage variance for their workers in one state, where they were campaigning for a minimum wage increase... but all this sort of stuff makes them seem more than just the typical Socialist astroturfing organization... they're getting into Air America territory for business ethics. :)
"I could explain, but that would be very long, very convoluted, and make you look very stupid. Nobody wants that... except maybe me."
That was Colorado. They claimed they should be exempt from the minimum-wage increase, for which they were fighting at the time, because they could not afford to pay their workers the higher wages. Irony defined, right?

If "pro" is the opposite of "con", what is the opposite of "progress"?
Why would it surprise anyone that those that want to tax everything out of your paycheck before you get it wouldnt just not write it to begin with.
I really felt for the guy with 2 kids. The charlie brown treatment really hurts if you have others depending on you.
But I'm glad Redstate was there to crack the case. It isn't often we get to see the seeds of democracy sprouting like this.
I'm reminded of a song:
There is unrest in the forest,
There is trouble with the trees,
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas. The trouble with the maples,
(And they're quite convinced they're right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light.
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made.
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade. There is trouble in the forest,
And the creatures all have fled,
As the maples scream "Oppression!"
And the oaks just shake their headsSo the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights.
"The oaks are just too greedy;
We will make them give us light."
Now there's no more oak oppression,
For they passed a noble law,
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw.
It's funny, but I always identified with the oaks.

... what song that is, but I discovered it flows along quite nicely to the tune of "Cool for Cats" by Squeeze.
This means something. I'm sure of it.
and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch are the big meme setters here in MO. They are fully behind McCaskill to the point that their local talk shows are nothing more than Free Campaign Time for St. Claire. They have been solidly behind the fight to let dead people vote, have granted McCaskill the opportunity to speak at length on the air without having to take calls (cntact totalam@kmox.com paulharris@kmox.com and cwbrennan@cbs.com to complain) while forcing Talent to take air time only when he has to take calls from staged leftists who "coincidentally" get through. Also, I recall my conversation with an in-law of mine who works as a producer and flatly stated KMOX will do whatever it takes to help McCaskill win.
After all of this, do you really think the ST. Louis Media will cover this? We need to bombard KMOX.com and the various hosts. Try the following:
totalam@kmox.com who is from 5AM-9AM Central
cwbrennan@cbs.com for Charles Brennan, the 9 to 11 AM host
paulharris@kmox.com and harrisonline.com the 2-6 host (warning! this guy is a bigtime Olbermann fan and devoted moonbat. He openly brags he is the antidote to the 3 hours of Limbaughon KMOX)
cadaniel@cbs.com Carol Daniel, the lead news reader
jdgrayson@cbs.com John Grayson, 8PM-11PM
I have done my part. Hows 'nbout you?!?
Sitting out is a vote for KOS.
Too bad she's such a terrible liar.
I doubt she'll ever read this, but if she does: Ma'am, it's never a good idea to let your eyes flick to the side before you answer a question. It looks (with good reason) like you're making up an answer and testing it internally.

Even those who learn from history are surrounded by those doomed to repeat it.
I was a petitioner in Montana for Property Rights and Spending Limits. Same people blocked us from getting sigs all over at grocery stores, post offices. They even followed us around. They'd yell and scream at anyone who tried to sign our petitions. They'd push flyers into the hands of people who were about to sign our petitions. It got real ugly.
It's funny. I've heard of no instances of conservatives or libertarians trying to block liberal petitions from getting on the ballot anywheres in the US.

I like ACORN's activist philosophy, which is modeled on Alinsky's...someone else not likely to be popular around here, I suppose. I'm not an expert on his entire philosophy (nor ACORN's), but I like the basic concept...organizing people to help them achieve their goals, instead of your own.
I was extremely disappointed when I visited ACORN's website in 2004. They were so blatantly partisan. I hate "fake" non-partisan groups.
