Taking the lead from Harold Ford, Jr. in the race for the U.S. Senate in Tennessee, Bob Corker comes back to chat with RedState.
In the past week we've witnessed the destruction of the Harold Ford campaign at his own hands and Bob Corker's perfectly tuned message set to take advantage of Ford's Follies. We've caught up with Mayor Bob Corker on one of his many stops as he criss-crosses the State of Tennessee. Now the Mayor rides high in the polls while Junior is screaming racism.
And yet again, Bob Corker refuses to attack Harold Ford's family. As Bob tells it, he doesn't have to because everyone in Tennessee already knows about "the Ford political machine."
As always, You can download the interview here. After you're done listening, consider going over to Bob's website and contribute a few dollars to Tennessee's next U.S. Senator.

It certainly appears that Corker and Talent have made gains over the last ten days as the Foley mess exited the scene. Now we have to keep the little momentum we have going. Erick, last Friday you wrote their was a growing sense that the GOP was bouncing back in the polls but it might not be enough to hold the House? What are you hearing one week later? At NRO, some of the quoted insiders seem to think the House can still be saved by a seat or two.
marked the turning point of this election. It was getting pretty depressing watching the Rats pull one dirty trick and one media stunt after another, with the Republicans providing little or no response.. or worse, going on the defensive and looking pitiful.
Seeing Corker stand his ground and quickly dispatch the latest media darling was inspiring to us all. a true turning point not only in TN, but across the country, I think.
Is there a fear out there by anybody but me that there may be a view by the voters that the GOP (or Corker) may be piling on Ford? Perhaps a sympathy rebound for Ford?

Looks almost exactly like the Instapundit Icon.
