Don't Do It Joe

Congressman Joe Barton is rumored to announce his bid for House Minority Leader tomorrow. All I can say is, "Don't do it Joe."
I like Joe Barton. He took over Phil Gramm's seat. The problem, though, is that he's been in Congress since 1985. The voters made clear on Tuesday that they are dissatisfied with the GOP establishment. Someone who has been around for 20 years and never made a bid for Leader, probably doesn't need to start now -- especially when he'll really only serve as a spoiler for Pence, a man who shares Joe's conservatism, but doesn't smell like mothballs.

Pence as ML would show that conservatives are finally getting away from the loser idea that building a border fence was smart politics. The American people understand building a fence DOES NOTHING to address the 12 million already in the United States.
Americans want conservatives to solve the illegal immigration problem not just talk about it. People like Tancredo, Hayworth, etc. don't want a solution. They want an issue they can demogogue to keep them in the public spotlight for as long as possible.

Rep. Mike Pence for House Minority Leader!
