Tonight at 6p ET, there will be a gubernatorial debate in Boston between Republican Kerry Healey. Democrat Deval Patrick, Indie Christy Mihos, and Grace Ross of the Green Rainbow Party. Dem Deval Patrick is a Friend of Bill (FOB), a former Clinton Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights.

FOX News' Chris Wallace, fresh from his recent brush with madness, will moderate the debate, which could be carried by C-SPAN. (Check their sched.)

The debate will be moderated by FOX News Sunday’s Chris Wallace in front of a live studio audience. Boston Herald State House reporter Kim Atkins will be on hand to provide pre-debate coverage along with FOX25 political editor Joe Battenfeld starting at 5 p.m. Post-debate analysis will begin at 7:10 p.m.

The format calls for candidates to answer Wallace’s questions as well as others selected from voters who have e-mailed questions to the Herald.

Will Patrick challenge the moderator? If I'm the campaign, I probably wait until afterwards and use it in the spin, as the left are about to make Wallace a symbol.

Yes, I sometimes think we're living in a sort of looney bin.

...but this race looks like a dynamic and likeable Dem versus a fairly boring Republican. Throw in an independent businessman who will siphon off some ficons and, well... Does anybody know what the handicappers are saying? I'd guess it's Patrick's to lose.

In a way, it makes a good test of the waters in Mass. We have a long history of electing Republican governors, but the Democrats have previously nominated really weak candidates. Healey, boring though she is, has solid Republican chops.

Did anyone think they'd live to see the day when Mike Wallace's son would be viewed as an emblem of right-wing media bias?

Olberman did the whole channeling of Lloyd Bentsen schtick:

"I know Mike Wallace.... You are no Mike Wallace..."

I'm not sure what Chris Wallace did wrong. To a "journalist" like Olberman, I guess such thoughtful analysis just doesn't matter.
