Let's Help Mike

UPDATE: The faster we get this money raised, the faster we get Debbie's full figure off the front page.
One of the ironies of this election season is that Republicans just might keep their hold on the Senate by picking off a few Democrats, like Debbie Stabenow.
Let's help Mike raise some money to send Debbie packing.

Thank you Erick and Redstaters!

I'm in too AND I get to vote for Mike. Stabenow is a total ZERO who has done nothing, she needs to go!!! Plus, she is completely dishonest in her ads about Canadian waste (I work for a waste company). Blames Mike at the state level and Bush at the national level - yet she ignores the fact that CONGRESS has legaslative authority ala the dormant commerce clause. Last I checked Do-Nothing Debbie was part of congress. When the State acts it is unconstitutional, if the President tried to act there would be a serious separation of powers problem. Heck, the dim bulbs in congress gripe whenever Bush excercises his duly granted constitutional powers.
This money could be spent on someone who actually has a shot at winning!
Give it to Allen or Corker or Talent (or someone like Dickerson in IN). Stabenow is pretty much on cruise control to re-election, so it's just wasting money, imo.
Maybe I'm just not idealistic enough. Or maybe I've just been too dissapointed by Bush's close defeats in Wisconsin (along with Mark Neumann), so I know where the numbers have to be for a candidate to have a real shot at winning.
Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin are states I no longer see a Republican being able to win statewide. And I'm doing some work for Mark Green against Doyle in the Gov's race and despite Doyle being very unpopular, the numbers just will not move. Of course, the lousy campaign (with the worst ads imaginable from Green in the early stages of the race) hasn't helped matters any.
but if there was ever a dark hoarse Mike is and he can pull this off. That is why RS is pushing hard. Just remember what happened in the GA senate race in 04.

this is definitely a hard-charging darkhorse race to watch over the last 2 weeks. in fact, outside of NJ, I think this is as likely a R pickup as any. like Steele in MD, there are some institutional hurdles for Bouchard in MI, but I think they are lower for him (counterbalanced by the fact that he hasn't gotten as close as Steele, yet) - Michigan is not nearly as Blue a state as Maryland, and it has some history electing Republican senators, and the economic woes of the state definitely put it in play, like Menendez's corruption endangers the NJ seat, the perception of same endangers Burns in MT, and the state Republican party's collaps in OH endangers DeWine.
go Sheriff Bouchard!
But for the love of sweet, merciful Heaven, please don't pull a Major League on that photo for every $20 earned.

Even those who learn from history are surrounded by those doomed to repeat it.
The Washington Times is reporting, via CQ, that many GOP senators nor running this year are sitting on huge piles of cash. Democrats in the same situation have contributed to Dem's running this year.
Captains Quarters link.
In a season where the balance of power remains at serious risk in the Senate, the Washington Times reports that some Republican Senators do not appear anxious to help protect their majority. Senators with large campaign warchests and who do not face the voters this year have made only nominal transfers to the NRSC, allowing the Democrats to gain a large advantage in the final days of the midterms.
Somebody needs to get on the ball on this. The lefty blogs have pressured their senators to cough up the money, now we need to do the same.
The amount of cash involved is in the millions of dollars, far more than can be raised in small donations in the next week. This ought to be pushed on the front page.
Man, that felt good!
As a former 35 year resident of MI, I want Debbie OUT.
I agree, it is better to give to Steele or Keane or Burns or Talent at this stage. Stabenow is not going to lose and one of those others MIGHT be able to save the Senate..
