This man is going to campaign for Bob Casey, Jr. tomorrow. You might want to ask if Bob Casey, Jr. shares his views on our military.

Although I no longer live there, I grew up outside of Philadelphia. This is to my commonwealth brethren... Santorum is gold compared to the very real stuffed-suit Casey. People of PA... splash some cold water on your faces and don't be lulled into an historic mistake. Rick Santorum is needed for PA and for the country. Greet John Kerry's endorsement of Casey with a resounding yawn... and (see my signature...)

video.
The long pause and looking down at the podium before the "punchline", moment of reflection or reading a speech card?
been anywhere close to a good public speaker. The video, not just because of the idiotic quote but because of his delivery, was astoundingly painful to watch. It's as if the guy never had a single speech class in his life.
It was the same way watching his non-apology press conference this afternoon... y'know, if he was wanting to come across raging mad with the whole "I'm mad as h*ll and I'm not gonna take it anymore!" shtick, someone should've warned him that it loses a lot of its power when he has to stop and read the next line every few seconds. Ouch.

I wonder what the families of the Pennsylvanians serving in Iraq will think of Kerry's campaigning on Junior's behalf?

he knows that this comment is going to be the news for quite some time, and any chance of beating Arnold (slim though they might have been) left the room about the time those words left John Kerry's mouth.
John Kerry may have found the secret to energizing the base....
does this cease being a story? I suppose if they all turn on Kerry, they risk losing the moonbat vote.
The bad news is that it could defuse the situation. The good news is they won't do it :-)

People are focusing on Kerrys comments on the troops, but he made much more explosive comments and they are being ignored.
The people who owe our troops an apology are George W. Bush and Dick Cheney who misled America into war
That is as serious a charge as can be made about a sitting President. Why on earth is he not called on this outrageous accusation? Why has the WH just shrugged off this sort of attack rather tha responding strongly to it?
I'd love to see this garbage finally be met head on and shot down. Allowing this slur to go unanswered is just another misstep by the Bush WH, and goes a long way to explaining his low poll numbers.
Push back. Push back hard and all the time, everytime.

How about it? Kerrys accusation that Bush lied the country into a war are at least as noteworthy as those about the troops. Probably more so.
And comments may be, ah, energetic for a while, so he may not see it. You may want to bring it to his attention via the contact button.
Heck, do a blog on it. :)

I think there was insufficient pushback when the meme about Bush lieing us into the war started, and now we have somewhere between 40% and 50% of the population that believes it is true. On the other hand, 80% of the people still believe our troops are smart as well as brave, so it is more of a motivating factor. With only a week before elections, you focus on the motivator to get the base into the ballot box, because that's where the election is going to be won (not the squishy middle where all the pollsters are focused*.
*Why do I always see Mr. M in Karate Kid saying "Grape in the middle of the road get squashed," when I hear, type, or think 'middle of the road'?
But then again, Casey Sr also refused to campaign for abortion supporters. He clearly has more principle than Casey Jr would ever have.
Casey Jr is laying in bed with all the worst elements of his party, and he wants people to think he's going to be different?
We seem to pick and chose what we want to play and replay. Focusing on being misled into a war is something we don't want the voting populace to contemplate.
if we had been misled into war then you might have a point. But since we weren't, you don't.

from an AP story at this link:
"It disgusts me that a bunch of these Republican hacks who've never worn the uniform of our country are willing to lie about those who did."
Of course, Kerry launched his political career by lying about our troops, but hey, he spent three whole months in uniform, so that's OK.
Like Kerry, I volunteered for service. Unfortunately, I was turned down on an obscure medical issue. There's not a day thats gone by since then that I haven't regretted never getting the chance to serve, and it's been a particular regret since 9/11. I find it nauseating that there's a Senator who got his job by dishonoring the uniform I never got to wear.
Please don't run for President. Knock this joker off in 2008 and then we'll talk
Mitt knocking off Kerry in 2008? Makes sense, but what better candidate does the GOP offer then Romney?
Quite obviously, the Left feels that Freedom is free, that our grandparents paid off the mortgage on this great experiment, and its ours to squander as we see feet.
According to Mr Kerry et al's viewpoint, the Minutemen at Concord must have been roguish buffoons, the troops bivouaced at Valley Forge were cretins, Gettysburg was a horrible mistake by that blundering orangutan in charge, Abraham Lincoln etc. etc.
The Left feels that there is nothing left worth dying for, but if you really feel strongly enough about it, hire an immigrant.
Well, some of them were. Still, they were a good bit smarter than all those people defending a certain senator from Massachusetts. Possibly more educated too. :)
I still want to see the secret decoder ring Karl uses to activate the orbital mind control satellites that cause Dems to say these things at just the right moment.
this is the guy who was defrauded in Ohio, by 120,000 votes, him and his foul mouthed wife. Think about it, Clinton, Screaming Al, and Kerry, three wacks in a row. Do you need any more commentary on the minds and judgement of the Democratic voter?
Yes indeed, the reality based community, the ones who despise us.
Why ask what Bob Casey Jr thinks about it? How many times have you heard from liberals about the uneducated, unemployable, low enders who comprise our military?
Of course they have contempt for the Services and service men & women. They always have and it's worse now.
The aggravating part is living with the arrogance combined with the beast like dullness of these sheep.
