Russell Simmons' endorsement is prominent.

Following up on a week of good news for the Lt. Gov., the Steele campaign released a new ad today called Building Bridges which can be viewed here.
It features Russell Simmons, a successful entrepreneur in the hip hop industry and activist, who endorsed Mr. Steele last week. Mr. Simmons has endorsed many Democrats in the past including Hillary Clinton but he is one of many crossing over the partisan line to endorse the rising political star: Michael Steele.
This ad continues the theme of Mr. Steele as a Senator for all of Maryland, not just the partisan Democrats. Maryland is not a Republican-friendly territory and Mr. Steele will have to win a chunk of cross-over votes in addition to winning the independent vote to be successful. As of next Tuesday he will find out who his opponent will be. If it is Mr. Cardin expect more ads like this one emphasizing cross-over votes from black leaders and others who are voting Republican for the first time. If it is Mr. Mfume, the ads will stay roughly the same but probably emphasize Steele's business background and other qualifications in contrast to Mfume's dishonoarable deeds as NAACP President.
Just watching the ad makes me want to donate to Mr. Steele. If there is only one new Republican in Congress this year, I hope that one is Mr. Steele. Donate here or volunteer here if you'd like to join in the effort.

This may be the best ad in Maryland I have seen so far this year, regardless of the candidate.
About this race. Steele's first few ads have been good, and have been on quite a bit here in DC. His cash edge thanks to no primary could prove decisive, especially if he spends it on smart ads like this.

I think the correct link to the video should be:
